1-1 Pet dog & Gun Dog Training sessions starting at £25 per hour session.
I have over 20 years experience in working and pet dog training.
I work a lot with badly behaved dogs, and owners confidence, so whatever your problem please feel free to get in touch.
I train on private land near Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District which is all perfect for training around other animals cattle birds ect.
I also have plenty of my own dogs to help socialise your dog.
I also offer dog chipping from £12, fully qualified.

I come across this a lot with dogs who have been to gundog classes from a young age and become head strong, or dogs that have been to puppy classes and have developed challenging behaviour, it is nothing you have done wrong, it is usually a case of to much to soon, and working a lot at a distance so your dog has got used to being far ahead and ignoring recall and becomes strong headed.
Basic foundations then become a struggle especially as a novice dog owner who is unsure what is right and what is wrong at different parts of the dogs life and training.
I also come across owners who’s confidence has been ruined, i help massively with confidence and come across this a lot.
121 training things taught.
Heel work on and off the lead, Sit, Stay, Down, Recall, Leave.
Socialise around other animals.
Trained around cattle and many other animals and wildlife.
Help you bond with your dog so you get your dogs focus.
Help you with any confidence issues you may have while training.
I always encourage to also use a whistle and I show you how to use it for each command. Plus lots lots more.
Why 121?
Your dog gets chance to progress and learn at his/her own pace.
No other dogs in a class to distract and pass on their bad habits.
Full attention on your dog and progress is easier for your trainer to track.
More time to train each individual owner as well as your dog.
Your dog gets chance to have longer in a 121 session if you are struggling with certain behaviour.
There are many reasons 121 are better than group classes. In class if your dog isn’t ready to move on to the next stage they will be expected to move on so then that first part of your training isn’t 100%.
Always work at your dogs own pace, be consistent and patient.
Do not rush, make sure you get your basics first.
