A great ride out for 8yr old Lily Rose and a very smart trot in!
It was lovely to welcome back 7yr old local girl, Evie. This time with her Nana, Heather, who got Evie the surprise for a treat, before going back to school. Lots of water to go through and we met some of the other ponies and the Connemara foal, Bryantang Brûlée. Then we ended in an active trot and a carrot for Dolly.... fabulous work Evie!
Thank you to 7yr old Reeva for the lovely colouring in pictures, I have them up in the cabin! Fantastic well done out in the trail, plenty of water to go through and ending in an active trot.....
This evening, 8yr old Sapphire took Sam Morelli on a ride out around Straid, but someone was looking for her boy?? Well that was an active trot in, perhaps Sam couldn't wait to get reunited with Je T'aime Millennium 🥰. Fantastic work Sapphire...
It was lovely to meet Larne family, retiree, Gillian, physiotherapist, 21yr old Calean, 24yr old P&0 ferries operator, Dylan and 16yr old Madison. Gillian was returning to horse riding and the rest had varying degrees of experience. Super well done everyone, with Gillian ending in canter and the rest in an active trot...
Barcelona Khloe came back for another trail this week and she tried a new pony, True Blu. Fantastic work Khloe, not Barcelona weather but the horse riding is first class! We did see the resident buzzard family out in full force and ended in an active trot in.....
Meet Larne birthday girl, 7yr old Chloe. This was Chloe's first time on a pony and she did terrific. 💯 in the quiz also and we hope to see you back soon!

It was terrific to see Islandmagee sisters, 8yr old Lola and 6yr old Lacey, return again on the trail, and a little taller than when we saw them last, in March.
Lola got to ride her favourite pony, Sam Morelli and Lacey wanted to try out True Blu for the first time.
Fabulous work girls in wet conditions, but you wouldn't have missed this for the world, and your smiles said it all.....
Hands in the air like you just don't care, was the warmup for the afternoon class of Amber, Betsy and Minnie. Okay so we did more than that....trotted on the proper diagonals, did our figure eights, 20m circles and answered all the questions in the quiz! 😅
The afternoon trail was on the sunny exclusive 1hr off-road trail. Riding out was dad, James and daughter, 7yr old Emily, receiving a treat before she heads back to school. Also on the trail were Belfast couple, lawyer, Cliodhna and analyst, Cristian. Then 11yr old Khloe returned for a trail and another one next week, way2go!

Tuesday morning started with a bright 2hr Forest Trail. We welcomed new trail blazer to BTR, Londoner, 37yr old Kirsty, and she accompanied returning trail blazers, teacher, Clare, retiree, Fiona and Newtownards, Lynn. Excellent work ladies and lovely to ride out with you, and we got in the canters and the gallop. Hope to see you all soon....
It didn't matter that it was a bit damp at the beach, as we all ended up wet anyway. 🌊💦🏇🏻Tonight participating in the BTR beach spectacle were siblings 20yr old civil engineering student, Dee and his 23yr old sister, Pharmacist, Kat, who coincidentally was using up her July birthday vouchers. They were accompanied by birthday girl, 14yr old Ella from Carrickfergus, who tried out a new horse this evening. After a few canters, we went for the usual dip and a dive, then did swappsies. An epic evening and super well done to all the riders and top marks to crew member, Alexander, for baking a delicious strawberry Victoria sponge, (Chris's fav), to end the evening......
Sunday evening session we welcomed 8yr old Tilly to lessons and welcomed Boe and Max back from holidays, and they accompanied Dr Susie and Planner, Leah. Tilly was introduced to her first jump in walk, Max did his first jump in canter, Boe and Leah did their first unaccompanied xc jump and Susie was just having fun! Superb work everyone, and ending in canter and trot....
An amazing afternoon trail and we welcomed international trailblazer, 35yr old Jana from Germany, visiting Northern Ireland for three days. She accompanied 42yr old lecturer, Frances and son, 9yr old Eoin, from Newtownabbey. Fabulous work everyone, your faces tell the story... 🤠🏇🏻

Horse care and riding students had a job to do this morning when they arrived. Super arena levelling, Stacey, Molly and Charlotte. Then it was off for a sunny ride out.
The final Saturday trail was Italian sisters from Milano, 19yr old Lara and 10yr old Lia. They are staying in Northern Ireland for 3days, experiencing the Gobbins today, the Glens of Antrim and Giants Causeway tomorrow, soo pleased they made time for BTR this evening! And, they weren't disappointed! Tremendous work girls, getting your equine fix abroad and viewing the centre of County Antrim in canter....

It was Connemara heaven for the Saturday morning girls, who were a bit light on the ground due to holidays. Well, Jade and Liza made up for the numbers and Holiday Candle Light, showed her class as the master pony and Irish Hill Iris, replicated. An amazing session to start off the day, epic work girls!

This is crew member, Alexander, in Helix Park, which is The Home of The Kelpies - the largest equine sculptures in the world. Located between Falkirk and Grangemouth.
In Scottish folklore, a kelpie is a dangerous shape-shifting water creature that can appear on land as a horse. The kelpie appears to their human victims as a grey or white horse, entices them to ride on their back, then carries them down to a watery grave. Thankfully, we don't have one of those on our yard 🤠🏇🏻
Friday lessons consisted of arena work, trail riding and bare back riding. Stupendous work Reeva, Lily Rose, Hannah and Isla!
The afternoon exclusive 1hr off-road trail, we welcomed 35yr old Dublin girl, an animation producer, Claire and she was accompanied by 60yr old Greenisland rider, Caroline and friend, Templepatrick lady, 51yr old Alison. They use to ride when they were younger and they both felt at home again, back on the saddle. Also returning 7yr old twins, Harrison and Amelia, had to fit in another trail before returning to school. Excellent work everyone, ending in an active trot.....
Friday morning Forest Trail remained dry and warm. The trailblazers consisted of three Ballycarry friends, 12yr olds, Rosie, Erin and Maria and they were accompanied by 13yr Carrickfergus rider, Isla and mum, Gemma, and crew member, Chloe, who took Irish Hill Iris on her maiden Forest Trail.
Awesome work everyone with great chat along the way and getting in the canters and some a gallop.
The sun shone for the Wednesday afternoon class and we welcomed new student, 12yr old Natasha, along with Ronan, Lily and Charlotte. Clear hand signals and safety checks everyone, with an active trot in....
12yr old Finn had a few spectators today of the four legged kind. Super lesson Finn, ending in a canter up the lane. Good luck starting your new school next week....
It was lovely to meet Larne mother and daughter, Rachel and 8yr old daughter, Tilly. We found a fish tail along the way, and we could smell Mr Fox. All ending in an active trot, Fantastic well done girls...,
