I believe I have informed all current clients but should there be someone I have missed, please read.

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the closing of Gal-Groom. As a result, Gal-Groom will cease trading on 16th September 2024. Any appointments after this date will be cancelled.

I realise some of you may find this as a shock, and after 14 years of putting my heart and soul into the business, it is time to move on to new opportunities. Dog grooming has taken its toll physically so I am making this choice now before I am forced to.

I cherish the relationships I have built with every one of you and your dogs, and I want to express how grateful I am for your unwavering support, trust and loyalty throughout the years.

It has been a pleasure to pamper your dogs and I wish you and your dogs all the best in the future.

Due to the rising cost of utility bills and salon costs, prices will increase from 1st October 2022.

Prices will increase from £2 to £4 per dog depending on breed/size etc. Please drop me a message if you wish to know how this will affect you.

My first time competing since covid shut it all down. Great to be back in the ring and couldnt have dreamed of a better result. 1st in Poodle Champ class and RESERVE BEST IN SHOW aaahhhhh . So overwhelmed. Congratulations to Tanya Salas for winning Best In Show.

Gal-Groom has made the difficult decision to close for the duration of this current lockdown.

With infection rates at their highest, hospitals struggling, vulnerable staff and having contracted Covid myself before Christmas, I feel its important for everyone to do their part and stay safe at home.

Although we all like our dogs to be clean and pretty, our health must come first and we need to protect those around us. That is essential.

This hasn't been an easy decision to make, and I know disappointing to most of you but I hope you understand my reasons why. Hopefully 6th Feb will bring better news when things are reviewed again. Everyone please stay safe and well. Ellen -Groom

IMPORTANT NEWS
On Thursday 26th November at 9pm Dog Groomers where added to the list of services which must close for the next two weeks during the latest lockdown. With virtually no warning we where deemed non-essential.

For the last few days the dog groomers in N.Ireland have came together contacting relevant agencies.

WE GOT A RESULT ... we can now reopen on a click and collect bases.👏

HOWEVER (and there is always a catch)
We must wait for this in writing on the NI Executives website and our Councils Environmental Health before we can reopen.

🤞🤞🤞 Hopefully we can reopen and I will be in contact with those customers who have had their appointment cancelled.

Watch this Space.

All along my intention was to keep my business open as there was no clear clarification. However last night at 9pm dog groomers were added to the list and now have to close. I am devastated, especially at our busiest time of year. I will be in contact with everyone who has an appointment booked over the next 2 weeks to rearrange. Please can I ask for your patience and understanding.

Thank you for your patience. Gal-Groom is planning on reopening very soon.

Please read the following information:

I plan to work through my list of clients from when lockdown began. I have so many people contacting me wanting to be first on the list, but I have cancelled over 350 dogs so the only fair way I can see is to start at lockdown and work forward.

If you had an appointment before or during lockdown and it was cancelled, I WILL CONTACT YOU. Be assured your dog is on the list, so no need to contact me.

I will not be taking on new customers until we have caught up with the last 10 weeks of booked appointments.

New safety protocol is in place to keep you and us safe. This will be explained when I contact you regarding your appointment.

DO NOT book an appointment if you or a family member are showing symptoms.

So again thanks for your patience and I will be in contact with an appointment soon. 🐶
