Arthritis affects 40% of dogs at some point in their life 😢

Arthritis can affect all types of dogs, including those in their early years 🐕

Nobody knows your dog as well as you - owners can sense when things aren’t right🤔

Many of us believe our dogs can understand us but unfortunately we can’t ask them how they’re feeling. It’s up to us to spot changes in their behaviour which can sometimes be quite subtle. For example, your dog may still want to go for a walk despite having advanced joint problems and pain 🦴

Here’s what you should be looking out for 👀

➡️ Trouble walking or running
➡️ Limping
➡️ Moving slower than normal
➡️ Appearing stiff when first getting up
➡️ Reluctance to play
➡️ Restless at night
➡️ Difficulty with stairs or jumping
➡️ Repeatedly licking joints
➡️ Changes in behaviour e.g. withdrawn or aggressive

If you recognise one or more of these symptoms/behaviours, it might be arthritis pain. Book an appointment with a Vet for a full clinical examination and discuss various treatment plans here ⬇️
