Well that was a fun evening drop-in to see these two girlies!

It was non-stop from the second I walked in.🖤🤍

Myla showed me lots of different toys and only stopped playing when she was giving her dinner.🐾

Roxy on the other hand enjoyed lots of tickles under her chin.🥺

✨Missy Paws Pet Sitting offers three main wedding chaperone packages. I pride myself in also being able to offer tailored packages to suit yours and your pets needs. So if you don’t see what you want, get in touch and we can organise I phone call to see if I can help.

💒All packages include:

⚪️An initial meet & greet session before your wedding day. Including an in-person consultation to discuss & plan your big day. The initial consultation is free and offers a great opportunity to discuss your requests and for me to meet yourselves and your pet.

⚪️Pick up and drop off from your chosen location.

⚪️A 30 minute walk on the day of your wedding – before the wedding.

⚪️Ongoing support via email and phone before the wedding day.

⚪️All pets are presented clean and accessorised (with supplied accessories).

⚪️Unlimited attention and love to your pet on the day.

⚪️Travel included in the package price 25 miles from Bamber Bridge (60p per mile outside of this).

⚪️Additional in person meets can be organised at an additional charge.

⚪️Additional dogs are charged at £45 each.

Over the last few weeks I have pushed myself to continue with my high standard at Missy Paws Pet Sitting (including answering all enquiries and trying to keep my social media presence up). I have now decided to take some extra time
away from all admin, social media etc and will respond to any messages on the 12th of July after my leave.

❗️Anybody who has bookings before then, I will continue to visit as normal so please don’t be concerned I will private message if anything needs to be changed. ❗️

For those who aren’t aware I have spent the last 4 weeks in and out of different healthcare services, due to what I assumed was a badly infected bug bite.

Last week, I was sent away from the hospital and told it would all clear. However, it has continued to get worse and now I am waiting back for swab results, on new medication and having further tests on Thursday as my GP is unsure on what it is and why it is getting worse.

I am mentally and physically drained from dealing with this wound on my arm. Some days I am okay and on some days (like today) I am feeling quite unwell. Hopefully I am back to 100% when I’m back🤞

This morning is my first drop-in to check on Stampy & Stormy. Both are very nervous of strangers and Stormy didn’t want to make an appearance today, but hopefully over the next few days she becomes more comfortable around me.

Stampy, however, was pretty relaxed around me and even had a few sniffs of my hand.🥰

It’s nearly been a whole year since I set up Missy Paws Pet Sitting. Here are my five main takeaway points from my first year running a pet sitting business⬇️ 1️⃣It is so exciting when you first set up a business - especially when people are interested in booking your services. I fell quickly into feeling like I had to say yes to every enquiry and felt terrible when having to say no. I’ve realised now it’s okay to set boundaries. Missy Paws Pet Sitting is my business and I choose what bookings to make. 2️⃣When setting up I had some imposter syndrome and felt bad charging people my full rate - especially as a newly formed business. I have lost £££ offering discounts that I could have made through other clients. Now I only charge my full rate & am looking at increasing prices. My rates are based on 10 years of animal care and welfare experiences/qualifications. If people don’t want to pay it they can find someone else! 3️⃣My pet sitting business is different to most that I see on social media. It is a hobby for me, something I do because I love animals. However, it isn’t my main income and I have a full-time job that I absolutely love! I realise now I can’t compare to others and shouldn’t. My business and how it is run works for me! 4️⃣It can be so easy to quickly respond to a client message and think nothing of it. Overtime I’ve realised this isn’t healthy and that I do need time off each day away from my business! I now think about when I message a business - I never expect a reply the same day so why did I put that stress on myself! 5️⃣In a ‘normal’ job you wouldn’t accept not having a day off. Yet when setting up a business I felt lazy when I had a day off. I felt like I wasn’t putting enough into it or that I needed to always fill up dates with bookings! Now I tell myself that I also have a life away from pet sitting and don’t need to be in business mode all the time! #professionalpetsitter #profes

🐾What do I enjoy most about pet sitting?🐾 I just love building bonds with so many different animals. Ludo is a great example!🖤 I started pet sitting Ludo in October and have since stayed with him numerous times. We have built up a lovely bond and I am always excited to see him, when he’s booked in! Seeing how comfortable he is around me is a indescribable feeling.
