We have noticed that a lot of clients are curious when you come into the shop for your grooming appointments but feel like you cant ask us, without commitment. We are super passionate about a fresh diet but we arnt going to push you into it. You can ask any questions or curiousities that you have.

New Freezer and restocked today and more coming on Tuesday, we will have the new Power paste from Dr Connor Brady (which everyone seems to be going bananas for, It is for your dog you know. It should be in on Tuesday.

Had to add a freezer (soon to be rewrapped) as you lot are keeping us in business and we cant keep enough stock between orders.

Dont worry though our Taggarts freezer is going next to reception so you will still beable to get your liver loaf treats.

We have started stocking a wonder product, We see so many pups with really bad tear staining. It often creates a bad smell smell and can leave your dogs skin under their eyes raw and sore. This simple food additive is a great solution. 😀

We love Pumpkin for our dogs

Pumpkin is great for dog doggos🐕🐕.....

Due to its high soluble fiber content, pumpkin is very good for your dog's digestion. If you feed your dog some pumpkin, it will add bulk to their stool. This helps reduce issues with diarrhea. In addition, fermentation of the same fiber produces beneficial fatty acids that supply energy to cells.

Some great advice for Clients. Sometimes I think clients think i make it up 😆.. so here is a secondary source, from the very well respected Amy Manser.

Brush, Brush , Brush….
With the continuing wet weather it is so important to brush your dog even more regularly. We are seeing dogs coming in more matted than normal, so if you want to keep your dog in the normal style it is essential. For many rethinking a shorter style can be a great option.
We have so many owners tell us their dog does not enjoy grooming. No dog is born hating grooming, it’s about creating positive experiences, so early socialisation in a salon to get used to the noises and goings on and brushing at home, so knots and matts do not occur, is an absolute must! . This way brushing is pain free and your dog will have no reason to have anxiety about dog grooming.
Tips for at home grooming,
🐾 Insure you have a good slicker brush and comb
🐾 Make sure you brush up and out from root to tip and can get a comb through .
🐾 If your dog wears a harness extra brushing will be required on all contact points of the harness, so chest and armpit areas etc
🐾 Use a leave in conditioning spray when brushing to prevent coat damage.
🐾 Place your dog on a table, using a rubber Matt to prevent slipping, this will help your dog understand he has a zone where grooming happens, if you have a large dog, place an blanket on the floor in the same location each time.
🐾 groom in short bursts if needed but insure you finish what you are doing if your dog plays up, rather than letting them go straight away.
🐾 do not rub your dog with a towel, this causes friction , which causes matting, squeeze moisture from the coat, brush and leave to dry and then brush again.
🐾 If bathing at home you must insure products are rinsed well and to ideally dry your dog and comb through. Drying in matts makes them constrict tighter.
Remember a dog just wants to be comfortable,
so if short is more practical for the time you can dedicate to grooming and your life style, then they really do not mind. 💜

Please be aware that when you enter the shop and Salon that you are recorded on CCTV and although the reason it is installed is not to watch customers, more for us to prove our professional integrity should anything go wrong or god forbid anything happen to a dog while in our care.

We have unfortunately caught a customer stealing on CCTV. The value of the items only comes to £11.00 (We checked the CCTV and the Stock level) I know at this time of year things can be tight but there is no excuse for stealing. We open again on Tuesday at 9am till 4pm.

I would appreciate if you could come in
and pay for those items, no questions asked and no further action taken and we can put it down to a lapse of judgement, move on and have a happy Christmas.

Thank you to all our other clients who have supported us since the shop has opened and all our grooming clients who come back time and again. I Really appreciate your support.
