Did you know that Wood Street has been the vets that take care of the animals at @rspca_southridge for many years! The hospital, and our Oakwood surgery, regularly carry out any operations needed and provide care for many fostered pets that need treatment. Not only that, our vets visit the centre twice a week to do any checkups needed! Here's our vets Ozlem and Becca on one of their visits.
Visit the @rspca_southridge page to see the amazing work they do!

Meet Teddy! Teddy is a Romanian rescue dog who was rehomed by Sian, our Cockfosters receptionist. Teddy has hip dysplasia and spinal spondylosis and has been on painkillers since 2023.
At the beginning of February Teddy had Stem Cell and Platelet Therapy to better help manage his pain which was performed by Raj at the main hospital.
The stem cells are harvested from Teddy's own fat cells, which are sent to the lab to grow. Platelet therapy involves separating the platelets in Teddy's blood, which we do on site.
Once the stem cells arrive back from the lab we inject them and the platelets into the affected joints.
These therapies can both reduce pain, increase joint function and aid healing.
Look at Teddy just 4 weeks later running off lead for the first time this year and is off all his pain killers! What a fantastic result for Teddy and Sian!

Pet Health Club members Sirius the Cocker Spaniel puppy (11 weeks old today) and his big brother Dezzy the 3 year old Cockapoo popped into Holders Hill today to see our Clinical Director and vet Phil.
Sirius was weighed and had his worming tablet, and a general check up.
Dezzy was also checked over and had his ears cleaned. A happy healthy, lovely pair of boys! 🖤🐾 🤎🐾
It’s lovely to be out & about in the summer weather but it is grass seed 🌾 season, so please be careful as they can work their way into their paddy 🐾 paws & into their ears so please be sure to check your pups and pooches after each walk.
Meet Sirius 🖤! He’s ten weeks old and is a Cocker Spaniel pup. Here you see him at our Oakwood Surgery in Radlett having his puppy health check and second vaccinations with Phil, our Clinical Director & vet.
Sirius also joined the Pet Health Club. What a cutie! 🖤🤩
It’s time to announce client of the month at our Hydrotherapy Clinic, over at Oakwood.
You might remember the lovely Bracken, she is a rescue who has appeared on our page before.
Bracken has regular Hydrotherapy to help with her forelimb lameness.
She’s been coming regularly to work with Imogen our expert Hydrotherapist over at our Oakwood surgery in Radlett.
Recently, Bracken took a short break from her course of Hydrotherapy sessions, as she had a lump removed from her chest. We are pleased to report she has bounced back quickly from this, and has now returned to her regular Hydro sessions in which the focus has been to build and strengthen muscles, as well as encouraging her with tac tile bands (small black bands secured Velcro that go around the limb) to lift up her forelimbs in order to promote a better range of motion and mobility.
We love seeing her confidence grow with each session. Well done Bracken! 😍🤩
To discover the many beneficial applications of Hydrotherapy from weight loss to rehabilitation please do get in touch with our Oakwood surgery in Radlett. The link to do so is below. 👇

Meet Bolt. He’s a 14 year old Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mix who was in to have his routine check up at Wood Street recently.
Five gorgeous 8 week old miniature Dachshund puppies came to see our vet Fatima yesterday for their second vaccinations and to get their microchips before going to their new homes. They are so lovely and sweet, we couldn’t get enough puppy cuddles. Just look at those sweet faces! 🥹
Happy Monday people & pets!
Meet Pemerton!
He’s a 6 year old Golden Retriever whose owners have been coming to Wood Street to see our vet and Clinical Director Tony for around 30 years!
Three generations of Golden Retriever.
This gorgeous chap was in for his routine general health check and vaccinations and thoroughly enjoyed treats, fuss, cuddles and of course his photo shoot whilst he waited in Reception. 🤍 💛
It’s a tough life being Clarence…. 🧡🐈
