Had this 9mth old sweetheart in this afternoon for a makeover, such a beautiful temperament. Wishing Nessie and her mum Anya all the luck on sunday at their first show 🤞🤞 hope you have lots of fun and get a rosette too hopefully 🥰

Lovely to see Sam from Stay Sharpe Ltd today, that's all my scissors and blades sharpened and clippers serviced ready for my next clients. Keeping the equipment maintained, serviced and sharp is vital to providing a good quality groom and most people don't realise this cost when done properly is hundreds of pounds every few months but it's not a cost you can skip if wanting to continue giving good quality grooms.

‘ Do you cut my dogs nails’

Simple answer is -yes . Every full grooming treatment includes a nail trim. Although dogs do wear their nails down while pavement walking it is is important to keep an eye on dogs nails and they do have to be regularly trimmed. If a dogs nails are left too long they will begin to curl and become uncomfortable and this can cause issues with walking and also may lead to infection .

How do I know when my dogs nails are ready to cut?
Ideally, they should be cut every 4 weeks. Whenever you see the nail exceed the paw pad that is a good indication that they need a trim (if your dog has white nails , you can see the blood vessel called the quick inside the nail - this should not be cut , only the white part at the end of the nail!)

Just over a week ago I received the devastating news that Evee had crossed over rainbow bridge after a short illness. She was only young and was such a little lovebug who truly loved coming to see me, she went thru so much and was a fighter but sadly this time she couldn't fight anymore. I will miss her terribly she was always so excited to see me and gave the best cuddles and I thank her mum for letting me having the honour of being her aunty and stylist for the last 4 and a half years. I love you Evee and will miss you soooooo much little girl. RIP & big hugs to you over the bridge 💔🐾🌈🐾💔
