JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

Hi everyone as the temperature is rising I will be setting off earlier to walk your doggies to make sure no one misses out, my van is air conditioned and I can drive them to a shaded woodland area, for a paddle and a shorter walk. If however it does get too warm in the afternoon I will just have to fly round and do a home visit but will keep you all informed

So received a phone call from a lady in labour asking me if I could walk her dog today, I was quite fully booked but had left myself a tea break after my last group and picking my dogs up from groomers near her and next teatime feed, so I agreed to do it, even though it’s not my area. When I turned up the door was locked and I could not get hold of the lady, I could hear the dog crying so I went round the back and a window was open, I was worried there was something wrong with the lady, she then rang me to say she had been rushed in to hospital and the ambulance people would not let her let the dog out, she asked me to try and coax the dog out of the window y. I had so many red flags going off in my head, next thing the dog comes bounding out over my head, so excited and she w**d for 5 minutes non stop, I walked her with my 2 and Hugo for an hour and took her back gave her a drink and some rabbits feet I had for my two, put her back in and her partner will be home to see to her tonight after visiting the hospital, sometimes I feel like I am so soft when it comes to dogs but I’m so glad I went .
