Morning All 👋

Aiming to collect my morning doggies between 8-8.30am this morning and tomorrow morning.

Due to the heat forecast I may need to shorten the walks if it becomes too hot.

Water will be offered throughout and at the end of the walk.

Any concerns please let me know ☺️

Happy Monday! 👋

And what a great Monday it has been 🤗

We have had Sam & Edgar back after a week away, we now have little Arthur back with us every week, Albert was let off the lead for the first time and he was such a good lad…
And everyone meet Nala (red fox lab) the latest member of the Wagging Tails gang.
She’s a little beauty and has made friends already 🩷

We have had Albert with us the past couple months while his mum is recovering from a knee operation, and what an absolute dream he’s been 💭 🥰
Such a friendly boy who has settled in so well!
And look at that face 😍

Secrets of a Dog Walker

1. It's a lifestyle, not just a job. If you're in it for the money you've made a big mistake because a) you're never going to be rich, end of story; and b) you won't survive your first winter if that's your only motivation. We see these people come and go from time to time.

2. We talk to each other more than you might think. About the best walking boots, what clothing we are wearing for today's weather, our financial struggles, the traffic, dodgy men in the woods, fallen trees, etc. It's a lonely job but we have each other's backs from a distance.

3. We don't physically have eyes in the backs of our heads but we know so well the sound of every jingle of every ID tag, and every dog's individual footfall on the ground behind us, we may as well have.

4. We can't physically see round corners either, but we know so well each leading dog's body language in reaction to an oncoming person and/or dog that we may as well be able to.

5. We hear "Are they all yours?!" and "Wow you've got your hands full" at least twice a day, but we always smile and say "They keep me on my toes". Every. Single. Time.

6. It actually breaks our heart when a dog moves out of our area, and we thoroughly investigate our replacement for our own peace of mind.

7. If you peel back a few layers of clothing (depending on the season) you will find bruises, scratches and scrapes covering the whole of our bodies. Don't bother asking where they came from, we have no idea.

8. If you see a dog walker looking vaguely presentable on a weekday, you should send help, something is not right.

9. We love our clients' dogs as we do our own and will sometimes lie awake at night worrying about their injuries, illnesses, and behaviour problems. We can't help it after spending so much time with them.

10. Despite the financial uncertainty, the harsh winters, the blood, sweat and tears, it really is the best job in the world.

Morning All,

Hope you have all had a lovely sunny weekend!

With the hot weather approaching, on the days I am able to i will start walks a little earlier in the hope to beat the heat.

If it is ever too hot walks may be shortened or cancelled and visits arranged instead.
I will always let you know if this is the case.

However, for now we are all loving the sun ☀️ 🐾 🙌🏻

No walks Friday (29th Mar) due to the bank holiday.
I will however be doing the one walk on bank holiday Monday (1st April) if any of you would like to join us…

🐾 Price increase 🐾

Hi All 👋

You will have all received my letter this week regarding the price increase from 1st April 2024.
This is not a decision I have made lightly, however due to the rise in costs, business costs and inflation impacting general cost of living it is no longer possible to maintain our current pricing.

What i do really want to say though, is how much I appreciate all of you!
Thank you for your continued support over the last 7 years and for your understanding regarding the price increase.
I could not do this job that I love so much without any of you 🤗

Thank you all very much for being understanding regarding the cancellation of our second walk.
Not a decision I made lightly and I will do my upmost to not have to cancel any walk.

I am aware the main roads are still accessible, however due to me being on and off estates where the snow is much worse I had no choice but to cancel our second walk.

The forecast is rain overnight 🤞🏻 so walks back to normal tomorrow 🐾

We can’t get enough of the puppies at the moment!!
More beautiful puppies looking for their forever homes..

Our Ebony who we walk was be blessed with nine healthy, pedigree, Working Labradors pups, four have homes to go to, but five still need homes.
Available - two black girls, one golden (a proper Andrex puppy lookalike), and two black boys.
Mum and dad (he’s an outstanding working Lab from the Wortley area) are both KC registered, as are the pups.

If anyone is interested and wants more details, please message me.

They’ll be ready to leave not before 30th Jan, after they’ve been health checked and inoculated.

Hi All,

As most of you know, Clare’s beautiful Bella has had puppies, there are 2 x boys (white and brown) and 1 x girl (light blue collar) available if anyone is interested.
Saluki x Greyhound.
Micro chipped, and first injection had on the 19th January.
2nd injection on the 16th February already paid for.
Health check is perfect.
Both had their dew claws removed.
DOB 22nd November

My Autumn is not very well, so I will no doubt be spending my day changing lots more dirty nappies 🙈💩 and putting the washing machine on for the 107th time 😩

**REMINDER**

🎅🏻 Christmas Holiday Dates 🎅🏻

The last walk before Christmas will be Friday 22nd Dec 2023.
I shall be doing a morning walk on Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th & Friday 29th Dec 2023 - please let me know if any of my doggies would like to join us on any of those days.
Back to walks as normal from Tuesday 2nd January 2024 🐾

I will be walking Monday and Tuesday next week and Clare will be walking Wednesday, Thursday and covering my walks on Friday next week.
Any changes to walks please message me as normal.
