As Christmas is looming 🎄🦌.. this time of year becomes super hectic in salon..more hectic than usual. I cram as many appointments in as possible so everyone can get done before Christmas.
If you could just bare a few things in mind between now and then..

✨ Please try keep to your appointment time and if running late.. keep me in the loop. I'll literally be back to back one in one out with no spare time.

✨ If for any reason i do run over by 5 mins - please bare with me. If you see someone in, please just hang back whilst I finish up.

✨ Any cancellations within 24hrs will be charged in full as normal but be prepared to wait until after Christmas for rebooking. I'm already fully booked with no gaps at all so swapping appointments will not be an option before Christmas. You will unfortunately have to wait until January.

And most of all.. if I look l like Ive been dragged through a hedge backwards .. don't tell me.. I already know how it goes this time of year 😆

Phoenix came for her puppy intros today and she took to it like a duck to water. Even had a little sleep on the grooming table waiting for her mama 🥰

This is why we start so young. It may not look like we do much, but it makes a huge difference to them and their mindset towards groomers 👌 we are not so scary!

Florence 🐾🥰

Florence started coming to me a little while ago for a pamper .. the main thing was her nails.
She hated! having them clipped.

Her mum won't mind me saying that Florence's first visit was.. 'eventful' shall we say 🤪
I couldn't physically do them on my own.. her mum had to help.. and even then it was some what of a experience for all involved 🤣

So at that point we decided that regular visits was needed.

Fast forward a few months .. she's the happiest sweetest girl to work with who now lets me clip her nails without any fuss what so ever. She's probably one of the best! Not one m**f is made, not one wriggle..nothing!

Patience, time & kindness is all that's needed 🙌

She loves coming to see me, hops straight out of the car and drags me into the salon and showers me with kisses the whole time she's here! 🥰

Let's talk styling!

Not every dog that comes into my salon can (or wants to) leave with a fluffy flashy hairdo.
It's just not possible.

For one thing or another, some dogs need a shorter style.. and I find some people are quick to judge the groomer for doing this.

So .. I thought I'd share my girl as a prime example.
This is Nancy. A 10 year old miniature schnauzer who has a few health issues (skin complaints been one) a long side just been old and doesn't tolerate grooming so much these days!

She doesn't look the best, not like she used to.. But..she's clean, she's tidy and most of all happy!
And that to me is a job well done 🙌

Thinking about your dogs health if they have health problems is much more important than any fancy styles. Especially when they get older.. they can't stand on the table for as long as they used to either.

Other reasons can be that they have a lifestyle were a longer coat isn't possible because they are too busy rolling around in every puddle and enjoying mud too much! And that's ok too! You have to choose what's right for each individual dog.

I'm all for comfort and making them happy 🥰

✨ Upcoming changes ✨

As most of my regulars are aware.. my little boy starts full time school this week! 🥺😭💔 (No I'm not ready!)

So this comes with lots of changes as I've been mentioning to you all over the last couple of months.

▪️My opening hours will change from Monday/Thursday/Friday to Monday-Thursdays during school time 9-3pm.
Thursday is still my late evening (appointments until 8pm). It will be one late a week and won't budge on this due to no childcare.

▪️If I can ask you all (to make sure that my days run to time and smoothly) that you stick to your appointment times and if you are running late, to ring/message me to let me know and I can make a decision as to whether we can go ahead with the appointment or need to rearrange.
I will be running back to back so if I'm late with one.. I'll be late with the rest and therefore be late picking my son up from school which isn't an option!
So be mindful and please leave extra time where possible for traffic etc. 5-10 minutes late does make a difference!
Also, pick up times... These still need to be prompt when I'm finished so I can move onto the next client, so again, I'm not running over.

I try to be as flexible and as fair as possible but now I have to work around school hours so please bare with me 🤞

▪️All appointments as usual need to be prebooked, I don't have last minute appointments.

▪️Christmas is looming .. I won't be doing the usual 12 hour days this year.. so again..book in advance to avoid disappointment! I only have a handful left around Christmas now. (I know I have a handful of you to message)

▪️Please bare with me on making appointments, as you can appreciate when I'm not in work grooming I have my 4 year old, which means I have to wait until he's in bed usually. I will get appointments sorted as and when between things 🙂

▪️If you need to rearrange you're appointment, try give me as much notice if/where possible and be prepared for a little wait to the next available appointment.

▪️ Reminder: all appointments cancelled within 24hr of said appointment or if a no show, are charged in full.

And lastly, just a huge thankyou to every single client that's stuck by me through all changes in business since having Freddie. You lot are so loyal ❤️ I'm very lucky!
