Our Story

Forgotten Cat Companions is a small home-based and volunteer-driven rescue located in Barnsley. Our main focus is on cats and kittens who have been living on the streets after being abandoned or left to breed. These animals are often overlooked and left to fend for themselves in terrible conditions and this is where we feel our efforts are the most needed in the current climate.

Our aim is to trap, neuter and rehabilitate as many of these unfortunate animals, and give them the best possible chance of a life as a cherished pet. Seeing them safe and looked after for the rest of their lives in a forever home, never hungry or cold again, is our wish for each of the cats we help.

All donations are gratefully received and go directly towards the upkeep, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation of the cats for which we care. Most of the cats we rescue are terribly scared. This means that before we can attempt to find them their forever home, we need to provide them with a safe foster space. Here we can gain their trust and rehabilitate them to the point where they are ready for adoption, or are able to secure a spot with one of the bigger charities. Even a few pounds can change the lives of the cats and we are grateful for any donations received. Donations can be given through PayPal below:
