Spring has sprung early here at OVIS with roughly 800 quail chicks hatching out over the weekend 😊 🐣

Apologies for my lack of posts over the last few years due to giving up poultry arfter I left school and focusing on my sheep. However now we are back up and going !
We now have a flock of laying ducks &quail! We have plenty of eggs available to buy in local shops and butchers in north Devon and also available to buy off the farm here in challacombe near south Molton ! Duck eggs are considerably larger and creamer than hen eggs and are a perfect addition for any breakfast also very good for baking and cooking!
Quail eggs are equally tasty hard boiled dipped in a sauce of your preference!
1/2 doz of duck eggs - £2
30 eggs ( a tray ) just -£7
1 dozen quail eggs - £3
I’m often out delivering eggs so am more then happy to meet people out and about as well!

Very sad sale but due to wanting to concentrate on my true bantams I have the fowling birds for sale:
-A quadlet of Indian game bantams all three colours ( blue male, blue female, dark female, and jubilee female -£70
- A quadlet of white Indian game bantams there are very rare and lovly birds I have here -£90
- A quadlet of paint silkie bantams all 3 hens are bearded and cockrel is non bearded -£85
- A trio of chamoish polish bantams ( £60)
- A trio of leghorn bantams consist of blue cockrel a blue hen and a brown hen so will breed blue and blue red -£60
