ANNOUNCEMENT!
Thistly Tails sleepovers are back! 🏡 💤

I’m delighted to be offering my live-in pet sitting service once again - this has been on hold since my son was born nearly 2 years ago (where has the time gone?!)

My first sleepover back recently was a very wholesome weekend with Bella. We had some VERY muddy walks, naps and the obligatory puppacinno ☕️ 🐾 It feels great to be back!

My 2024 diary (particularly weekends) are starting to book up, so new enquiries welcomed.

Hello! It’s been a while!
Since having my ‘little apprentice’ last year, life has been 100mph! Despite the silence on socials, I’ve been working away behind the scenes and continuing to care for your amazing pets.

I’ve had a busy few weeks popping in on the most lovely cats. Pop ins are my absolute favourite thing to do! 🐱

MATERNITY LEAVE! 🍼 👶🏼

As most of you know our baby’s due date is fast approaching so we’re now officially out for Summer! I’m going to miss all your lovely pets so much but looking forward to training up my ‘little apprentice’

I can recommend other wonderful local dog walkers and pet sitters so please let me know if you require any assistance.

About Thistly Tails

Hello! I’m Jordan, owner of Thistly Tails.

From as far as I can remember, I’ve always been into animals. I started studying Animal Science at University in 2011 and after graduating, continued to further my knowledge and experience in the real world. I’ve dedicated a great deal of time to caring for animals in both a personal and professional capacity.

In addition to various voluntary roles, I’ve been an Intern Zookeeper, Veterinary Care Assistant and most recently worked as Animal Warden for a local authority in the South West, working with animals (and people) in a variety of ways. From reuniting and re-homing stray dogs, from responding to welfare complaints to enforcing animal legislation.

As Animal Warden, dealing with stray and often difficult dogs, I’ve been equipped with a deeper understanding of dog behaviour and body language. My years of work in the industry have given me the privilege of handling and experiencing many different species, from domestic animals such as chickens to the more exotic, lemurs!
