Just a quick update on our availability. We've reviewed where we are with bookings and although we have a waiting list, we're not able to take on any new doggos at this time.

If you are looking for care for your dog, please consider using a Registered Homeboarder. Registration is a legal requirement so all reputable homeboarders will be registered and can show you their certificate if asked.

We're not taking new bookings just yet as we want to give our existing customers the best chance of getting the dates they want. Although we're fully licenced and insured, we do this for love rather than profits so we only take one household's dogs at a time.

But we are building a waiting list so feel free to contact us. We'll arrange a meet and greet and offer you dates as soon as we have them.

Hi everyone. We hope you're all planning some lovely holidays this year.

We've been aware that we've been unable to offer some of you the dates you wanted this year. We've pondered on how best to manage this.

We've already closed our Rover profile to new customers. That will remain the case until all bookings already made are complete, then we'll come off Rover all together.

We're also closing our books to new customers altogether for a while. If you've already booked (for past or future dates) or have had your initial meet with us, we can offer you dates. Otherwise we can't, I'm sorry.

We really want to be able to offer a good experience for those who are already customers so that means we can't help everyone.

To those we can't help at this time, I really reccomend you ask the local authority for a list of registered homeboarders. It's a much safer route than using the many unlicensed care providers around at the moment.

We wish we could meet and look after all of your lively boys and girls, but we hope you understand. X

This little guy is staying with us for the first time this weekend. I can't be sure, but he seems quite relaxed with Katie! 🥰
It's important to kick back and relax when you're on holiday. We're glad our four legged guests can do that with us.
I'm going to miss this cutie! Xx

We've been busy the last couple of weeks meeting new dogs and taking bookings for the year ahead. I've also been restocking our doggy toy box.

This little dragon looks like he has all the upper body strength he needs to deal with any playtime adventure! I wonder which of out visitors will play with him first 😁🐶🐕❤️

Charlie, you were a delight. This little guy really stepped up to the game last weekend and provided some solid supervision for Bark on the Beach Head of Doggo Cuddles, Katie Phillips. She's now 90% slobber and dog hair, and all the happier for it 😍

Hi all, we're getting a few enquiries about our availability. As we only homeboard one household's dogs at a time, we do book up quickly. That said, we don't advertise so we hope that gives a chance for our lovely regulars to get the dates they need, along with a few newbies here and there!

Anyway, I thought it would be useful to share our calendar as it stands for the next few months. Unshaded dates are available. Shaded dates in either colour are not, unless as handover days.

I've been poorly over the Christmas break (hello, Abi here!) But that's the joy of welcoming dogs into our family home. The whole family is here to look after them and love them like you do!

As 2023 comes to a close, we're thinking of all the very good girls and good boys who have come to holiday with us this year.

It's been an absolute pleasure and privilege to have been trusted with their care, and your amazing feedback has truly meant the world to us.

We can't wait for 2024, and to be just as busy as we were in 2023, giving cwtches, going on walkies and bringing in new doggos into our family home.

As a testiment to the power of treats, our usually elusive cat has agreed to be nice to our doggy visitor AND appear on social media.
What do they put in lickalicks that makes her so compliant? And would the hubby take to them? Hmm... 🐈🐕🥰

Saturday night chill vibes at Bark on the Beach this evening. Beach runs and surfing the waves are all well and good, but sometimes you just need to relax and watch a good film. It's good to sit and paws from time to time! 🥰

It's getting colder now so walks on the beach are followed by cuddles on the sofa (like they haven't been all year! 😁). This little girl is a very welcome return visitor who was really pleased to come back!

We're pretty booked up most of the time, but we're available 12th to 20th December for any last minute breaks. As always, we're happy to hold dates until we can meet and make sure we're a good match. We hope to meet you soon!

Today, we met three new dogs who will be coming to us for their holidays soon. We can't wait for cuddles and walkies with them all. What a fantastic job we have!
In the meantime, our cat will get the attention she never wants and some treats she surely deserves. I'll grab the tin opener...

In case you're wondering what we're doing when we're not cuddling dogs or playing on the beach, I thought I'd share this lovely post from Barry Dock RNLI. Katie has recently joined her Dad and brother as volunteer crew. I think they've earned a few doggy cwtches, don't you? X

We celebrate another pass-outs this week.

Our volunteer crew Katie Phillips achieved her Tier 1 pass-out on our D-Class Inshore Lifeboat today, her hard work and dedication giving way to a rigorous and thorough assessment which enabled her to demonstrate her skills and competency in a wide range of seamanship and search and rescue.

The dedication, commitment and valuable time given up by all our volunteer crew, to train, to achieve set-standards and also to be available 24hours a day, 7 days a week for call-outs, we would not be able to save lives at sea.

Congratulations Katie on behalf of everyone at Barry Dock RNLI and the RNLI.
