And with that our 2024 season comes to an end!!! Thank you ☺️☺️, It has nearly been 2 years since I started this business I can’t believe it!!

Another year has flown by with my business and I’m so so happy with the way this year has been, I’m so grateful for all of my lovely clients that I’ve been working with over this year. You all are so amazing and thank you so much for using my services, allowing me to look after your animals, stay at your properties etc. I have had a really successful year.

This year has really been jam packed with equine holiday cover, doggy drop ins, house/pet sits, harvest work, smallholding covers, turkey farm work, dog walking.

I want to thank you all, here’s to a great year we’ve had and an even better one next year 🥂🥂🥂

Starting the day nice and early with 2 equine covers am and pm
Feeding time for my stock
Followed by a doggy drop in for Stanley
Finishing off my two equine covers

Feeding Prize
Water checks/top ups
Feed yard cat who I haven’t met yet but her food bowl is always empty in the morning 😂😂
Poo pick fields
Check electric fencing
Depending on weather either put rugs on or bring them in over night
These three are really lovely to look after 🫶🫶🐴🐴🐴

Hi everyone. Thought with all the new followers I’ve been gaining recently. This wouldn’t be the perfect time to do a re introduction, introducing me and what my business does

My names Devon and I’m the owner of Devon’s Farm Smallholding Services providing short and long term cover for Farmers, Smallholders, Equine and house pets in Essex and surrounding areas

My services include but not limited to
Lambing and kidding
Harvest work (carting)
Piggery work
Seasonal work on farms and smallholdings
Smallholding holiday cover
Equine livery work
Equine holiday cover
DIY equine cover
Dog drop ins during the day (single or multiply drop ins)
House sitting with your pets and animals at home

I have my own sheep Wiltshire and Texal cross where I lamb and grown out my own lambs and goats Bagot x

I started this business beginning of January 2023 where I did lambing for a really lovely family for 3 weeks down in Cornwall and from there my business has grown so well I have made so many new friends, clients, worked on various farms, smallholding, livery yards and house pets. I have recurring clients that I work with for holiday covers and pre booked holidays already for next year

🌾Grain carting🌾I have recently been working with doing some jobs with there turkeys and had the opportunity to do some grain carting 🚜🌾. If you’re looking for farm fresh turkeys for your Christmas dinner this year highly recommend them. Great quality turkeys 🦃🦃

It was a really exciting morning, this morning Devon’s Farm Smallholding Services was on BBC Essex talking to the lovely Sonia about Parrots some of the types of birds I can look after here. Here we were talking all about parrots 🦜 and how it would benefit them with having a face to face call with other parrots mentally and physically. I had a great time and a big thank you to BBC Essex for having me 🦜🦜😁

Another drop in for Stanley 🐕🐕

A very happy pupper this afternoon. I am currently doing two days a week drop ins for Stanley to let him out for the toilet and to have a play with him. With all of the energy you wouldn’t think that hes 10 😂😂
