Day 2 and the final day of our Northern adventure. Trained today on arguably one of the best grounds, Barwillanty never disappoints. Thank you Laochin Gundogs Andy Cullen David Rankin for a fantastic days training and the bonus of a few sprints for me as well😂
Looking forward to doing it all again next week.

Meet the newest ambassador in the UK for Cato Outdoors.
Steve & Tina of Spanbella Gundogs.
Steve Brewer is probably the most renowned Place Board trainer in the UK, his achievements over the years speak for themselves using this method.
We look forward to seeing the Cato Boards put in to action and hopefully sharing some training tips.

After a day in bed yesterday and missing out on working the dogs, we managed to recover enough to depart on our Northern Adventure. First stop Wentworth House, Rotherham, fantastic day with plenty of game and great people. Then off for our overnight stop in Penrith before we depart early for another days training, this time on the Barwillanty Estate, Castle Douglas.

Well Alfie went beating today and he was just awesome. Kept checking in and listening to me. Worked really nicely through crop cover and woods, even flushing by jumping in the stream to put up birds on the far bank.

He is currently fast asleep having had his best day ever. Thank you so much for all of your help and guidance, he got so many compliments today!

It’s time for this young man to spread his wings and find his forever 🏠. He’s an absolute diamond and we’ve enjoyed our couple of months fostering him. He really needs a working home or someone who is prepared to continue his training to the highest level, he’s no lap dog and requires stimulation. We’ve got his basics in a good place, clean in the kennel and truck, he’s quite as well in both. He lives with my dogs and is fine with them, he does needs correct introduction to new dogs as his fairly intense at the start but is then fine around them. 100% if I had the time and space he’d be staying but unfortunately we can’t keep them all (so my wife tells me😂😂). Serious inquiries only and all potential homes will be inspected, fee for rehoming applies. Working male GSD 10 months old 36kg and growing Fit, healthy and no know issues. DM for more details
