A little plea to please keep up visiting your local duck pond!
I know the weather is getting wet and colder so the urge to go isn’t really there.
But let this video give you a reason to keep up the visits!

Me and one of my besties approached this duck pond and there was just one duck on the field, as we got closer they all started coming up from the pond and begging, literally begging for food. I started this video only about 30 seconds after we saw the lone duck.
We felt so bad we went and purchased a large loaf of bread and gave them the lot!

I know there is mixed opinions on giving bread, but I remembered the swan lifeline putting out a notice to ask people to continue to feed ducks and swans bread, especially throughout the winter as not doing so was causing them to become malnourished and die, and bread is good for bulking them up for winter!
I’ve visited this pond many times and never seen anything like it. They obviously aren’t getting many visits to be fed and it shows.

Made me feel quite sad. Let’s keep visiting our duck ponds especially in colder months.

Taste testers have approved! So annoyed at myself as I thought I was taking a video of my herd of 5 when they were all surrounding it and eating together but I wasn’t and they wouldn’t do it again 😭 mad at myself as that would have been made a lovely still picture of them all face on too. Will have to try again tomorrow!
I let them all have a nibble for pictures and then broke it into 8 and gave them a chunk each. So 1 can go further than you think!

But anyway! I have x 4 for sale, £4.50 each box with the postage included.

Cookies are Dandelion and Rosehip flavour and topped with hand picked wild clover flowers. Included is a handful of dried grass with a sprinkling of my forage mix (ingredients on my Etsy page) with some lavender flowers at no extra cost for Guinea pigs should you like some! Please just let me know as Rabbits tend to avoid anything lavender so I won’t put in incase it’s for a rabbit. The forage is ideal for scattering in a hay pile for abit of extra enrichment!

Cookie ingredients: banana, sweet green hay, milled rosehip, dried and crushed hand picked dandelion leaves and hand picked clover flowers.

Payment through bank transfer or PayPal F&F please.
I can do through my Etsy but cost will be more as they take a fair whack in fees 😩 hence why I haven’t done much recently.

He’s cheeky and super friendly…he comes to you for strokes which is a rare thing for “baby” (around 5 months old) Guinea pigs that haven’t had a home before.
