Active Nuvolari spent 3 very chilly days this weekend running through our regional preparations at Wellington Riding School, we’ve got 2 new freestyles so it was a great chance to have a first run through before the big day. I’ve had a month or so away from competing while Tom went through a patch of not sleeping more than 2 hours at a time 🫣 so definitely felt better for a bit of a practice run!
She’s feeling really good at the moment having seen Zoe OnPoint Physio last week and finished 1st on 73+% in the ele freestyle. Some adjustments needed to our new medium freestyle but promising score of 67% with some mistakes and a win in medium 6 on 70% to finish the weekend. Thank you Charlotte Smithwhite Dressage for warming us up!

harper’s CLF Kash had a super run round his first xc competition at Tweseldown hunter trials last weekend for a confident clear. It was my first xc for quite some time having moved out of eventing in 2019 but was great fun to have a spin round and as always the ground was spot on despite the awful weather we’ve been having!
Lots of thanks due to Tom Grant who gave Kash some great xc education particularly with the water while I was pregnant and Summer for giving us such a good lead!

First post baby jump today and it felt so nice to leave the floor again! I’m lucky that I’ve got Kash around at this point, he’s such a real life unicorn it makes everything very smooth and chilled. And it was lovely to be back at one of my favourites Tedworth Equestrian Centre on their new surface. Can confirm the human baby is much spicier than the horse babies at the moment 🙈

Last ride for CLF Reflection before wintering out, beautifully backed and started by Charlotte Smithwhite while I’ve been off. Another stunner bred by Chisum Lea Farm and part of the family that I’ve been lucky enough to bring home she’s a maternal sister to CLF Kaleb and Fantastico out of my super broodmare Fashionista. Another exciting one for next year!

Freelance rider*, coach and show groom based in kingsclere. I have a wide base of experience having started off in eventing where I have competed to advanced and international level before moving to dressage and jumping where I have competed up to PSG level including winning regional and national novice freestyle titles 24, and jumping up to 130 and international 1*.

Coaching - systematic and sympathetic approach to training horses and riders of all levels and can help with dresage, jumping and cross country riding as well as fitness and competition planning. I have lots of experience helping younger or nervous riders as well as those wanting to perfect their performance and aim to help riders achieve their goals, big or small.

Show Services
I can offer everything you need to make your day at a show easier and more enjoyable. From that extra pair of hands to make experienced competitors day more streamlined to a full service helping you through your first show, I can be as involved as you want me to be
Show prep - washing, plaiting (bands or sewn) tidying and everything to get you ready for the day
HGV driver
Show attendance - grooming and turnout, videoing, test calling, warm up fences, wash down and pack away etc
Coaching - course walking, warm up (dressage or jumping), help evaluating your day and goal setting for future shows.
Lots of experience helping all levels of riders from children to new competition riders needing help with their confidence to national and international riders.
Good eye for detail, high level of turnout, reliable and flexible.

So delighted to welcome my first home bred, a gorgous big healthy palomino c**t into the world late sat eve! By Crowns Ace of Pearl out of my Camillo VDL x Ulysses mare Fashionista, this beautiful boy should have all the looks and the talent! Fashionista has been a star throughout and such a pro, I now have 3 of her offspring and they are all such lovely young horses and very exciting for the future

First few shows of the season done with Purdey and she started our freestyle campaign with a fantastic 74% in the elementary and 72% in our first medium at Pachesham. Then on to fairoak where she won both the elementary to finish that qualification and the medium. She really shows her quality being able to come out and perform while I’m still getting back up to speed, helped along by Charlotte Smithwhite Dressage who is tuning her up midweek for me! Really enjoyed riding to dear Alfie’s music again, bringing back some happy memories!

Purdey had a successful day out at fairoak on Saturday to win both elementary sections, no pics from the show but she’s definitely enjoyed the sun on her back and a roll in the dirt when we got home!
