We are recruiting for an apprentice!! All applications are done directly through our training provider so please follow the link below once you have read below!!

We know the applications for this are going to be very high so we are asking you only apply if the following apply to you!

🐾 Happy to work 30 hours a week including Saturdays
🐾 A Friendly, Happy and Kind Personality
🐾Must be prepared for hard work and lots of dog hair!
🐾 Fantastic Customer Service with a happy smile is a must!
🐾Love dogs and have experience of being around them or working with them a bonus but not essential
🐾 Do NOT already have a qualification in Dog Grooming
🐾Can use your own initiative to keep the salon clean and tidy, answer phone, dealing with customers and doggies
🐾 You want to gain a qualification in dog grooming and are prepared to be encouraged to achieve this in 12 months

We are pleased to announce to everyone we have moved to amazing new premises within the grounds of Basingstoke College of Technology. We are completely separate to the college and have our own large bright and clean grooming salon and cute little garden for the doggies! We are excited to welcome you all and some of you have already been in the last couple of weeks! Thanks everyone for your understanding in our very fast move! It was quite unexpected but we are absolutely loving the new location! We look forward to welcoming you soon! 🐾🐾🐾

🐾Price Increase April 2024🐾

Due to the costs of everything increasing including National Living Wage as of 1st April we are having to increase our prices slightly to cover the cost. We can advise you of your new price on your reminder text. Our last increase was 2 years ago. We have tried to keep this increase as low as possible just to cover the increase in costs to run the business.

To be able to continue running the business with the individual and personal grooming service we promise, the qualified and experienced staff we have, and with the high quality products we use we have to increase prices to cover these costs.
�Our loyalty scheme will still be in place for those customers who return every 6-8 weeks.

Heart breaking post alert 🔔

It’s with a very heavy heart that I write this post. Katy has had to say goodnight to her beloved little one, Tallulah. Lulu was just over 14 and a half years old and had an amazing life with her mummy, daddy and big/little sister Mable. She will be very sorely missed and I speak on behalf of all of us at smart paws to say that we are so sorry to Katy and her family and just know that Lulu will be watching over from the rainbow bridge. Xx

That’s a wrap for 2023 from all of us at smart paws. We just want to say a massive thank you to all of our loyal customers who have stuck by us in such a trying year for everyone. Also for all the doggies we have had to sadly say goodnight too you are always with us and your families are always in our thoughts.
