Piixie enjoyed her Laser Therapy session with our vet Ailsa today. Ailsa runs a pain management clinic on a Wednesday at ARC to include acupuncture, laser therapy and medical pain management appointments. Having these therapies work well In conjunction with hydrotherapy as it helps to release tight muscles, increase blood flow and reduces pain. MOVING FORWARD, NOT MOVING ON
“Moving forward” or “moving on”. They sound like such similar phrases, don’t they? But in the context of grief the difference between “on” or “forward” is huge.
When you’re grieving for a precious pet – or indeed a person who you love – people will often say things like, “Isn’t it time you moved on?” or “You’ll move on eventually” or even, “I’m glad to see you’ve moved on”.
But the idea of moving on from a loved one can be incredibly distressing.
Moving on implies leaving something behind. It suggests that the animal, for example, was a moment or place that you can put behind you when, in fact, he or she was a member of your family and you’ll never get over that loss – not in the way that moving on implies, anyway.

So very, very true. I find pet owners are very supportive to each others grief, and would like to see a day where employers and other settings acknowledge the grief over the loss of a beloved pet and treat it in the same regard as the loss of a beloved human life 💜

With the easing, we are able to continue to provide home euthanasia appointments whilst following social distancing guidelines. Recent changes now permit up to 6 outside and with the weather improving, thinking about a sunny comfortable place in your garden can mean more of your loved ones can be present.
