Okay, with everything going on in the training industry, I thought I would write this post.

We're so quick to take sides and forget to look at the dog in front of us.

Now, I would call myself all pro-balance. I do not discriminate. I would use prongs, slip leads, and e-collars, no problem. Every tool comes with proper conditioning, and not every dog needs it.

So when someone says they are balanced, it doesn't mean they're going to stick a tool on your dog if it doesn't need it.

I prefer to walk dogs with collars, but I have a few clients who use harnesses, and you know what? They do not need anything else.

Now, if we talk about other dogs, maybe a slip lead will give the dog clearer communication. And I do have examples when the slip, after understanding it, works wonders. I do not need to correct the dog, but it gives me clarity on what I actually want.

What about the e-collar? Everyone is so afraid, but it has changed so many people's lives. How is this such a horrible tool? If it were, people wouldn't go forward and talk about how it saved their dog's life.

Just because it doesn't apply to you personally, don't judge others for using it.!

Let’s talk stigma.!!!

First of all always research your breed before purchasing !
What breed was bred todo ? Ask questions how can I fulfil this breed ? Will I have enough time and motivation ? Do I want to compete in some sort of the sport with a dog. ?

If you truly do want something do not let media tell you that certain breeds are wrong. And they unpredictable and wrong.
First thing of having a puppy is :

Breeder ! It’s so important how they socialise the puppy in early stages of their life! Plus taking the puppy to ur house and making sure you ar taking puppy everywhere !!!! Building the engagement and relationship with him !

People who you hear horror stories from is normally people who get powerful breeds , has no help, they think know what they do and the. Accidents happens !

Please!!! If u have or want to have powerful breed please contact a balance trainer ! Send me a message of you need a recommendation ) have help. !

I spoke with quiet few people who has opinion about certain dogs which makes me feel confused (as I grow up with detain breed)

My main take on this is judge dog and owner in front of u not the breed ! 🖤🤎

🐕‍🦺Our dog requires mental stimulation just as much as physical exercise. Going for a walk twice a day may not always be sufficient to keep them happy and fulfilled. While taking a walk is a good idea, it shouldn't be the only option.

Why not try taking your dog to different environments and engaging with them? You could also try practicing obedience in different locations or in a quiet area. Challenge your dog's mind and encourage them to think. Make spending time with your dog enjoyable for both of you!

Sometimes, a 20-30 minute quality session can be more effective than simply walking around, particularly when dealing with negative behaviors. As someone who works with dogs, my favorite part of my job is providing them with purpose and structure and boosting their confidence levels.

🐶I offer dog walking services that fulfill your dog's needs, stimulate their brain, and promote good behavior. If you're interested, please send me a direct message. I still have a few spots available.

🐶 Just a reminder that, although I focus on positive training methods, I am not opposed to using tools. I understand that some dog walkers may refuse to take dogs whose owners use certain tools, but I believe in balanced training and am willing to work with any tools that an owner may use. Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of my amazing customers who have trusted me to train and walk their dogs. It's been an incredible journey so far, and I couldn't have done it without you all. Four months ago, I never imagined I would have so many loyal customers, and I'm grateful for every one of you.

I'm excited to announce that my website will be going live soon!

I also wanted to let you know that I'm adjusting my service prices for new customers. As I train on every walk, I'm offering a £20 walk that focuses on laying the foundation for engagement, socialization, markers, and play. For those who want to take things a step further, I'm offering a £25 walk and train that covers all of the above plus basic obedience (stays, loose lead walking, recall, threshold).
I always go above and beyond to work on certain extra things that you might be struggling with, so the dog gets the most out of our sessions together.

During our sessions, your dog will have my undivided attention for one hour. I'll work, interact, have fun, and train with your dog, so every session is a proper one.

Lastly, I want to stress that training takes time and dedication. While I'm here to help, keep up with exsisting training or teach a new stuff, it's up to you as the owner to put in the work. I train my dogs twice a day, everyday and it takes time and patience. But the results are always worth it.

As I am getting really busy, I'll be opening up a waiting list soon, so stay tuned for more information.

I hope to start doing small group walks by the end of the year. But at the minute while I do everything by foot bear with me, as I have limited space.

Funny that the first time we met and eventually had to live together, we didn’t like each other and really tried to stay away from each other. Not sure why, maybe I just didn’t want to let myself love another dog so much after my Rottweiler died.
But he’s a second dog in my life who’s got my heart and literally saved my life . I would do anything to protect this dog! I know his getting old and I probably don’t have that many years left , but I absolutely love training him and spending time with him and watching him become more confident. I am a beginner in this game and I couldn’t be happier to start and learn about all this with you, Benny . 💜

My new leads ( which for sure we don’t need) arrived ! As you can see they are so cruel , Benny literally can not wait to go for a walk with them👀👀👀😭💜

I made huge mistake by trying them on, on him 😭 now I have a whiny boy asking me to go out . And all I want to do is eat my lunch..

Moral of the story is. The tools are created for a reason , and if used correctly could help you more than you think.

What an amazing podcast ! Truly enjoyed it.
As everyone probably know there’s a big divide in dog training community between Force free (positive only), balance and there’s still compulsion training.
Nether ends of the spectrum are good in my opinion, when people try to push their ideologies , it’s important to step back and think what’s actually best for the dog.

So I have experience with positive, force free training examples in my course, and the way prong collars , French collars, slip leads and e collars were described - as those extremely horrible tools that will ruin your relationship with your dog. The dog will shut don’t and won’t do anything. And don’t get me wrong if you will use tolls without doing properly and without any knowledge at all, that probably will happen. No tool will fix your problem , but if it used properly with knowledge, it can help extremely.

I use French collars and slip leads on my dogs, it helps me to communicate clearly with them , I don’t need to put prong collar on a dog that doesn’t need it. But if you have extreme behaviour cases with a dog who weights 80/90 kg 🤷🏽‍♀️ what do you do then?
People too quick to put problematic dogs down because positive only methods fail. And that’s a fact !
I’m not saying everyone should use tools . Most of the pet dogs are fine with collar and a lead (which still can cause discomfort for a dog)
But I wish more people educate themselves. And really care what is best for a dog and stop taking sides . 😊

Recall! One of the most common thing to teach the dog! Unfortunately there are still so many dogs without solid recall off lead !
I can not stress enough if your dog had 98% of recall , keep them on long line ! You never know what kind of problems other people or dogs have .

Let’s talk about general manners another 100000 time. It cost nothing.. The guy had a “nervous” lead on a dog, I stop playing, created space, put Iris into a sit let them pass and we carried on. . . 1- we made this guys and his dogs walk more enjoyable and stress free. 2- we practised stays. Everybody wins. Stop letting your off lead dogs who you have no control run up at other people’s dogs. Public areas are for EVERYONE! Thresholds!!! Just a reminder, it doesn’t matter if your dog knows certain commands or behaviours, you still need to practice them! Layla starting trying to go outside as soon as I open the door (I have been slacking with a threshold training) so that was a reminder to incorporate that into our training a bit more. Just because your dog is good at something, doesn’t mean you can stop training that aspect! I still set up engagement sessions, reactivity sessions, environmental sessions! And obviously obedience. All these things are important to keep it up with! As you can see Iris is really neutral dog and doesn’t really care about other dogs. I still don’t want the other dog to interact with her as I have no idea what is he like . I Just created barrier between them. Other dog got the cue and left .. If that was any other dog I would approach the situation very differently but sometimes that’s enough to stop the situation from escalating to something else . And for everyone if you see someone training their dog and especially if dog is on lead or long line, just recall the dog and ask the owner if it’s ok that your dog approach. 🤎 You dog approaching another dog or a person and causing them stress (not even a bite) could (by dangerous dog act,section 3 ) end up in prison or penalty fine up to 5000 🤷🏽‍♀️🫣 Which I think quiet important info for every dog owner. 👌 #dogwalkerbath #dogtrainingbath #dogwalkingbath #bathriverside #sydneygardensbath #bearflat

Ok I can’t believe I caught this on camera . How is this funny ? And why we let our dogs to do this.? This is not a game ! That swan would happily hurt that dog to protect her babies. And what does he teach his dog ? That’s it’s ok to go and scare wild life. If he wasn’t on a lead what would’ve he done . Even if it’s playful . If u have a dog, it’s your responsibility to train it! It’s your responsibility to teach them to ignore stuff not let them disturb and distress wild life .

I can’t believe I caught this . First of all I can’t even how happy I am with this dog! His owner put a lot of work ! And I can see every time I take him out his just getting better and better .
