Lovely day at Mid Somerset Show. Such a friendly show on our doorstep. Pearl won her 2yr old class but was a shallow victory really as the only entry forward. (More experience at least). The competitors in the remaining classes were all presented beautifully and was lovely to see everyone. Well done everyone xx

Not our day at New Forest Show. 4th in a class of lovely 2 yr olds! Pearl was doing a Stirling job until the motorbike display team started up, and completely threw her off. Chris Horler did a fab job with an unfortunate situation. Super proud of them both they looked fab 👌👍 Well done to all prize winners.

Some great laughs were had despite the ferocious heat.

Wow what a day! First visit to Royal Welsh Show for Cam Brook and Pearl made it a winning one! Still can’t quite believe she won the two yr old filly class, then Junior Champion, then on to reserve overall shire champion!! 😱😱 We are still on cloud nine to have achieved this in such tremendous company! Well done Jason holder Shire Horses and Kelly Holder for Overall champion, and the lesson in showmanship in the grand parade.
Absolutely shattered so in true rock and roll style pj’s, slippers, cuppa tea. Pearl is flat out asleep after a busy day!! 👌❤️

We’re so happy to let you know that after a healthy heartbeat scan that Surprise is officially in foal and growing Cam Brook’s first homebred Shire! Chris and I are over the moon. It’s gona be a long wait 🙈😂❤️

Wow what a lovely day at South Wales Shire Horse Society Show at Abergavenny! First time competing here after years of entering (always something prevented us actually going). Fantastic show!.. great to see so many members of the public going out of their way to come chat and admire the horses up close ❤️

Pearl was a star and so patient with waiting for her turn. 2nd in the 2 yr old class and took the title of BEST SHOD! Well done to Maple Leaf Forge Dan Rabin Dipwcf and Jess for everything you do for us.

Very proud day of our baby grey girl and Hubby Chris Horler. Here’s to the next one xx

Another lovely show with the family! Bath and west, pearl was a star and came 5th in a very good class against 2 and 3 year olds! Well done to everyone in attendance. They really were a credit to all, showcasing these wonderful heavy horses which the public always enjoy. Turnout was fantastic. Pats on the back all round. We are so enjoying her, there’s not many 2 yr olds that will stand to be unplanted by a 6 yr old ❤️ Chris Horler Sally Earle

What a lovely show Sherborne County Fair. First time and we had a super time. 2nd in a strong class of 2 and under. Well done everyone to the Frosts for Dusty’s winning debut! We didn’t take any photos today so here are some from last week at Devon County. Pearl was super as always in the hands of hubby Chris Horler 👏👏👏👍❤️

Pearl did us proud once again at Devon County Show. 2nd in the 1&2 year class. Shame more entered horses didn’t turn up but we were super pleased with her attitude to her first stay over. Well done Chris Horler top job in the ring and her plaits looked lovely.

Well a very proud day for cam brook. Pearl totally bossed her first show like a pro and won the 2 yr old class. Hubby Chris Horler did a fab job showing her the ropes they did a brilliant stand show! The highlight was definitely having Rosie and Tommy in the cheering section. A great day was had despite the mud. Well done to all competitors, all the heavies looked fantastic. Thank you for all the friends and family who came to support us today too and came and said “hi” it really means the world to us ###

Hubby:”I’ve always wanted to try a battered mars bar, do you think the chippy does them?”

Me:”why don’t you just get a mars bar and il batter it for you?”

Hubby:” I love it when you talk dirty to me!”
*gets lost in uncontrollable fits of laughter

Both heartbroken and elated that after 2 years of putting it off, Daisy has the perfect new home with a lovely friend. We will still be in touch and Daisy gets to do her favourite thing hunting! I miss my giant Shetland pony already but I couldn’t wish for her to be in better hands. We hope her new owner enjoys her as much as I have. She’s a diamond. Good luck and enjoy your new adventure Daisy you deserve it my darling 😍. ###

Something a little different last week. A friend asked if Monty could es**rt their Grampy on his final journey through the crematorium, as he was an out and out horse racing fan. We were hugely honoured to be able to this, Monty was a model of manners and knew he had a very special job to do. So very proud of him it was truly a privilege. Thank you to Janet Tibbs for being top chauffeur and groom, and to Emma Rhymer for the loan of the racing outfit. It did make all the difference. We all wish the family the very best wishes during this sad time and hope grampy would have approved 🥹

Something a little different today. The oldest resident of Cam Brook (besides me!) TOBY (31 yrs) visited a local care home and entertained the residents. Rosie was also hugely popular and did a great job with her pony 🤗

Mid Somerset Show… our local one. 1st in the senior mare class, awarded her silver spoon for the 3rd year running, and we have the opportunity to remember to get the trophy engraved this time! Congratulations Radford Shires and Charlotte Trott for taking champion and reserve 👏👏👏

What a busy week we had at New Forest and Hampshire County Show. Wonderful to see so much public getting up close and personal to the heavies in the heavy horse village!

We had a lovely showing day too taking third in the senior mares class! Congratulations to Ron Brewster and Radford shires taking Champion and Reserve. Great competition with lots of entries this year 👏👏👏

Well it was on our wish list and we couldn’t be more thrilled to receive the Worshipful Company of Farriers award for best shod heavy horse at Mid Devon Show. Huge congratulations and thanks to our wonderful farrier Maple Leaf Forge Dan Rabin Dipwcf Dan Rabin DipWcf, Jess Rabin. A lot of love, blood, sweat, tears and skill have gone in to those feet over the last 3 years. That plaque is going on the wall!! 👏👏👏👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗❤️
