This big handsome boy is Rex! 🐶

Rex is an XL Bully who is an absolute sweetheart; he just needs to learn some manners when it comes to walking on a leash… It is always a pleasure meeting bully breeds; owning a boxer myself, I am slightly bias to these type of dogs! 🥰

Kai’s K9 School conducts meet n’ greets/assessments to observe your dogs behaviour first hand. This is to develop a better understanding of your dog’s behaviour before any training session begin and so that a training plan can be put in place. 👍🏻

If you are interested in potential training sessions for your dog, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to book your free consultation today! 📞

Lovely first session with the gorgeous Isla on a rather cold Thursday morning! 🐶🥶

Isla’s owners got in contact asking for help with Islas general obedience as she is only 6 months old, so still very much a puppy.

Today she’s working on walking to heel and some engagement games. 😊

Well done, Isla! See you next week. 💕

‼️JUST WITH CHRISTMAS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER, I THOUGHT I’D POST THIS‼️

Please do not buy. Throw them away if your dog gets one as a gift. Giving rawhide to a dog is never a good idea.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog “enjoying” some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas. The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulfide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white “pure” look and remove the rancid smell.

Now comes the pretty festive colors and the glue to form cute shapes. On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn’t bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

What a lovely gift to receive off a very lovely client! 🐶💕

It has been absolutely amazing working with this particular client and their dog; the dedication and effort that they have put into training by following my guidance is the reason to why their dog has quite literally made a fast u-turn.

I don’t ever expect my clients to gift anything but those who know myself, know that I am absolutely obsessed with my boxer dog ‘Renn’; making this gift incredibly special! ✨

Thank you so much! 🤩

Yay! It’s Friday! 🥳 I am going to be taking a week off and will resume back to full service as of Monday 4th November! 😊 Please note, I am still accepting bookings for consultations and meet n’ greets/assessments - if interested in 1:1 dog training then please do get in touch.

However, as everyone is aware, we are going to be approaching the period where fireworks may or may not make an appearance for Halloween but most certainly for Bonfire Night. I just wanted to leave a post with tips/tricks to do so that your dog can feel as safe as possible:

“Fireworks can upset some dogs, so here’s some pre-festivity you can do to help your best friends…

Make a den or a ‘safe space’ in a quiet room and add a familiar scent, such as a piece of your clothing or their bedding, etc… They need to feel safe and in control of their space, so you don’t touch or move them away from these places. Your dog may already have an area in the house that they consider their ‘safe space’, so it’s important to make note of that.

Prepare some chews, stuffed kongs and chew toys, keeping them specifically for these loud nights.

You can also pop on a pheromone diffuser in the area that they consider to be their ‘safe space’. A pheromone diffuser disperse calming chemicals into the room but they can take a few days to take effect so it might be a good idea to set these up a few days in advance!

If your dog is particular sensitive to the noise of fireworks, seek advice from your preferred veterinarian as they can prescribe you medication for your dog.”

See you all very soon!

Much Love,

Busy afternoon with these two youngsters! 💕

Dottie is an English Bull Terrier & Tiggy is a Border Terrier; totally different in terms of looks but both of their owners have come to me for the same thing, obedience and recall!

This is a prime example of just because one dog is a bully breed and the other is a sweet little scruffy pup, both dogs need the same boundaries and training in order to continue to develop into lovely adult later down the line. 🐶

Good morning, Everyone! ⛅️

This post is purely a reminder that as of Monday 28th October, I will be taking a week’s holiday to spend a bit of time with family & friends over the half-term break. This means that there will be no training sessions commencing (apart from a few special cases - these people will be notified this week).

However, I am still going to be open to organising consultations and taking bookings throughout that week so do drop a message etc… if you would like to know more and arrange a meet n’ greet/assessment for you and your dog.

Full service will resume back to normal on Monday 4th November.

I would once again like to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you who has helped support my business over the coming months - whether that be by liking/sharing this page and/or booking training sessions with Kai’s K9 School. I do what I do for the love of dogs and find myself in the position to keep doing what I’m doing because of you guys!

As previously mentioned in my last post on this topic, we are vastly approaching Kai’s K9 School’s ‘FIRST BIRTHDAY’, in which a special charitable event will take place raising funds for a young girl in need of help to get her an autism assistance dog.

Much Love,

🥰 AN APPRECIATION POST 🥰

I received a lovely ‘thank you’ gift from one of my lovely clients who has recently finished their course of sessions with me.

I don’t ever expect anything from my client’s as all the hard work is not just down to myself but also down to them, too… It’s their willingness to learn, their patience that they have with their dog and the time that they have to put into practice what they have learnt from me, that enables them success.

I am very proud of all of my wonderful client’s and I am able to do what I do because of you guys! You should all be immensely proud of the hard work that you continue to put into your furry companions. 🐶🐾

My little helper well & truly earned her dinner tonight (don’t worry, she’s fed daily regardless of whether she’s joined me at work or lazed around all day! 😆).

8:00am start, assisting myself with 4 of my client’s wonderful dogs and knew exactly how to handle each and every one of them!

It’s amazing just how quickly the process can progress with nervous/anxious dogs when around a well-balanced dog. I am so lucky to have this gorgeous girlie in my life! 🐶💕

‼️DON’T FEAR THE MUZZLE OR BREED‼️

This handsome chap is Ace, an XL American Bully, a breed that is now sadly banned due to no fault of their own but due to ending up in the wrong hands of us humans!

Ace, like any other breed, when raised correctly by a responsible person, is a well-balanced, friendly big boy who just wants to run around and play and just be a dog but sadly, irresponsible humans have disabled this simple thing.

As apart of becoming a banned breed, Ace now has to wear a muzzle and be on a leash at all times when out in public. This post is all about the muzzle; there isn’t any reason to fear the muzzle.

A muzzle should be seen as a positive thing; a muzzle can help protect everyone, the dog wearing it included. The muzzle can help make a nervous dog feel more relaxed, a muzzle could be used as a quick fix by people when they have a dog that likes to pick up and eat everything in sight when outside. There are many, many reasons as to why a muzzle could be used and it is important that we do not fear the muzzle; if unsure, politely enquire rather than assume a negative reason for the muzzle’s use. 🐶🐾

Fantastic session with Ronnie the Boxer today! 🐶

Ronnie is working on his reactivity towards other dogs and even had a play with my Boxer, Renn! I think he may have found himself a little girlfriend! 💕

His owners are working really hard with his training and are seeing massive improvements.

Well done Ronnie, see you next week. 🐾

‼️RESPECT MY SPACE‼️

You might remember from my last post of this wonderful boy - this is Woody! His owner’s came in search for help with his reactivity to people and large dogs.

Less than 10 sessions in and this amazing lad is walking past everyone and everything with no negative reactions whatsoever! His owner’s are finally starting to enjoy taking him out again and no longer feel like each walk is a military operation!

A quote from his owner during today’s session, “I’m finally starting to get my old boy back!”. 🥰 This made myself smile from ear to ear - hearing these sorts of statements is real blessing and so lovely to know that all the hard work both myself and Woody’s owners are doing is paying off!

See you next week, handsome boy! 🐶🐾

💕🐶 PUPPIES 🐶💕

Everyone loves a puppy, right?! But what many people don’t realise is that a puppy can benefit from 1:1 training sessions and in my opinion, more than group sessions…

Don’t get me wrong, socialising a puppy is important but socialising can also be achieved in a well structured and controlled environments, rather than attending a “puppy class” and having your puppy get thrown into a “free-for-all”.

Do you have a puppy who you think might benefit from a bit of 1:1 training? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch and book your ‼️FREE‼️ consultation today.
