Max smashed his session working on his pulling last week- we start with not distractions and gave him plenty of times to reset and digest the new information. This photo was taken as we stopped the session to prevent him failing - a dog was walking past the secure field and he wouldn’t have been able to concentrate on what we were asking so we just let him watch the dog and waits. Until he was ready to engage again!!!

I remember visiting Bristol zoo as a young girl and they had a polar bear there- at the time I couldn't understand why he was pacing around and looking sad- I was too young, but a reminder of how far the animal welfare laws have come along!

In 2000, only one of these Arctic beasts was resident in the UK. Now there are 16. Is there any benefit to captivity for this climate-ravaged species?

Heather’s Story

Over the past decade I have dedicated my life to animals, after being gifted with the passion for welfare of animals (thanks Gran) I set out on a journey to building the very best pet care business. A place where dogs could be happy and have fun and a service that small animals would have no need to be moved and become stressed, a flexible service for owners of all species in the Bristol area. Following a successful small business for few years I decided to grow the business and build a team of trusted pet carers in Bristol and Bath. Following the birth of two human babies. I have focused my efforts toward formal qualifications in Behaviour and Welfare and I have completed a degree at Hartpury University and I am currently studying an MSc at Lincoln University to for completion in 2019. Alongside all this I attend various CPD seminar and conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest scientific research in Behaviour and welfare. I am happy to help with all behaviour and training issues with a variety of species.
