Hello! A little check in from me to you. I can safely say I’m thoroughly enjoying maternity leave with Alfie and I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s sent their well wishes and gifts and cards 🤍

Although I don’t have a specific date yet set for returning to work, it’s looking to be some time in October. I’ll be in touch end of August/September to arrange appointments with those who’ve signed their dog up on the waitlist and if you still haven’t done so, please see the previous post to leave your details in the comments. Please be aware I am only taking on existing clients on my return - when this changes I’ll make everyone aware!

Thank you again for your kindness and patience as I soak up all the baby cuddles and enjoy the time with my family. See you all soon and tell your dog I said hi! 🐾

The salon is now closed for maternity leave!

With everything going to plan, I hope to return to work part time in October. Please be aware that this could change! However, in the mean time, please feel free to add your dogs full name and breed to the comments of this post in order to be added to the waitlist.

The online booking system is unavailable during my time off but I’ll use this post to fill my diary for coming back to work. I’ll be in touch with each client to arrange times and dates nearer the end of September if all goes well.

Please note, I’ll only be taking on current clients during this time. I look forward to seeing all your fluffy friends soon and I’ll miss them far too much during my time off!

A massive, massive thank you to all my clients.

Everyone has been so incredibly kind, patient and understanding as I worked through my pregnancy and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to everyone who brought snacks and flowers and gifts for myself and baby - he’s already been spoiled rotten!

I’m hoping that I’ll be able to keep everyone updated as things progress and please keep a look out for a post regarding a waitlist coming soon!

A lot of my dogs will be having their last grooms with me shortly(!) At this appointment, please feel free to request a grooming information form that I’ll happily complete for you.

If visiting another groomer during my maternity leave, this will make it easy for everyone to ensure your dog not only gets their regular length and style (if and when possible) but your dogs needs, likes and dislikes can be made aware of 🐾

𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝗦𝗧 - 𝗢𝗖𝗧 𝟭𝗦𝗧

I’ve updated a lot of clients along the way but writing this makes everything a little more real!

With this all being very new to me, please take these dates as a rough estimate. I’m fairly sure as bump grows bigger and I grow more tired, I can see April the 30th being my last working day. I’m very lucky to have such a supportive family so close to the salon, so I’m hoping that by October, I’ll be back to work part time (in the case that everyone is healthy and happy.)

If anything changes I’ll update when needed but please ensure your dog is booked in for their scheduled grooms whilst availability is still there.

Closer to the time, I’ll be able to give recommendations for other grooming services as well as details on your dogs usual grooming routine and needs 🐾

Please be aware that going forward in my pregnancy, the salon
will no longer be taking on any new clients. Whilst I wish I could, as I wind down towards maternity leave in May, I want to make my current customers my top priority.

Likewise, when I return to work, I want to ensure my regular dogs get to see me first! Dates for mat leave are still undetermined but please feel free to block book online or with myself up until May - if you have any questions regarding your dogs grooming schedule, please ask and we can work out the best plan for your dog going forward.

Would you believe Tyson came into the salon for the first time an hour and a half before this video was taken, nervous and wary of strangers? Working 1:1 with your pups allows me extra time to give them all my attention and love, without any other distractions. Tyson loved to play fetch and I got so many cuddles after his groom. Gold star for Tyson! ⭐️

I’d like to take another opportunity to thank everyone for their support and custom this past year! The Dog House is everything I hoped for and more. I love seeing all your fluffy family members every day 🐾 I wish I could include every pup in this little video but it would be hours long! I hope everyone has a lovely New Year and I’ll see you all on the 6th ✨
