It is with a very heavy heart I’m having to sadly end my dog walking business for the time being. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and trusted me with their best friends, it means the world, and the paw prints of every dog I have walked will stay on my heart forever 🐾❤️ this wasn’t an easy decision and I am going to miss these fluffy faces every day. ❤️ I will hopefully be back working with doggos someday in the future, thank you everyone for the best 6 months xx

We would like to send a kind reminder that a pet is for life, not just for Christmas.

It is November and the festive season is soon upon us. Christmas is filled with fun family times, tasty food but also gifts. We realise that quite a few might be tempted to buy a pet for Christmas. We at SDR are here to urge you to please resist that temptation - A pet is for life not just for Christmas!

Read on for all the animal welfare advice you as a responsible potential pet parent need, to ensure Christmas will be a merry period for your pets.

You like the idea of a bouncy puppy but is the breed you desire suited to your life under normal circumstances?

The festive period tends to haze what our day-to-day routine and surroundings look like. Welcoming a dog takes time and tons, and tons of research and acknowledgment from all members of the family that every breed is very different with varying wants and needs. Do your research.

Pets are permanent members of your family, not presents. When you have decided that you and your family are ready for a new member - make sure it’s done in a proper and safe manner. Look into a rescue or find a reputable breeder, ensure you can offer a loving and comfortable environment, and be willing to sacrifice time to give your pet everything they need to live a happy and wholesome life. A pet is for life, not just for Christmas!
