Hello. Did anyone want to join June at this Awards Ceremony on Sunday 26th November? It's at the Stirling Court Hotel at 1pm and there will be 14 dogs present after the meal at 2pm. It's a lovely 3 course meal. 100 people attending. Only 2 tickets left which Prime Pet Care have already paid for.

DEER ATTACK in Armadale today.

Today a scary thing happened. We thought we had lost both Pointers in an attack.

Minding our own business at the close of our regular country walk, there came head on out of a bush a charging, large enraged female deer.

It headed straight for Jenna who ran (not at top speed) and facing away sunk to the floor. The deer stamped and trampled all over her back leaving hoof marks. Jenna did not fight or move.

The deer saw Cally and immediately chased Cally out of sight. A long time passed. 3 minutes? No sounds.
The deer reappeared and looked at me (Alan) and I shouted and flapped my arms. It retreated into the bushed area it came from.

I whistled Cally (Jenna was back on her feet and sniffing the trail of the deer but not chasing).

Cally came into view from the direction she was chased covered in her own poo. In her extreme fright the poor girl let loose her bowels. We have no idea whether the deer got her on the ground or not. However Cally was clearly shaken even when home because she was nervously looking round corners .
We are amazed there are no cuts, broken bones or out of character behaviour tonight.

My heart was beating like a drum. It all happened so quickly we just assume there's a baby deer just born being protected by a mum who was defending by being offensive.

We are back from some private time with agility champion and heelwork to dance champion kennel "comebyanaway." Did you watch it yesterday?
