Good morning All,

We hope you are well and having a great summer.

We are busy here at SS, looking after our 6 ponies and 2 cats. As you can see Maisie is chilling out but Molly looks as though she is saying “what, more photos” 🤣🤣

We are also teaching our little one how to lead the ponies correctly, this will grow her confidence and maybe she will enter a show one day with one of the Shetlands and win a rosette!

Today was our last Shetland session before we take a break. 🦄

We had a great bunch of girls coming to see us today.

Some did makeovers, some did pony walking - but they were all brilliant and all enjoyed meeting Charlotte, Chloe, Ginny, Marco, Molly and Tilly! 🥰

We're having a break over summer and there are no sessions scheduled for now - instead please keep an eye on our page for updates on what the ponies are up to. 🦄

Goood morning!

What a day ☀️☀️☀️🌞🌞🌞

Let’s reintroduce the Shimmering Shetlands as we haven’t done it for a while and our new followers won’t know who is who!

🐴 Molly (Black and White) who is a lovely girl, she like you to scratch her belly and she will scratch your back.
🐴Ginny (Ginger and White) she is a little sweetheart.
🐴Chloe (All black) loves an afternoon nap, she has a lay down and gives you a grunt when you say hello.
🐴Marco (Blue Roam or to us, black head and grey body), our little terror. He’s the cutest little Shetland there is but because he is only 4, he’s a little cheeky boy.
🦄Tilly (white pony) is our imposter, she isn’t a Shetland but loves to be pampered all the same. And last but not least,
🐴 Charlotte. Charlotte is a sweet girl and loves nothing more than a good groom. She loves it that much she sometimes falls asleep!

Oh and we can’t forget our stars of SS, our barn cats. We have Molly (Feline Molly came first) and Maisie. All our visitors love them and can usually be found on a straw bale, asleep 🐱

We will post some lovely photos and videos of the ponies over the summer, let’s see what antics they get up to 🤣

Guess what ………….
It was day one of Marcos’ training to become a Shimmering Shetland. We had a walk around his paddock as we would during a session. To say it was his first time he did a grand job! Keep your 👀 peeled for more updates on his training.
In the mean time he will watch and whinny whilst the others are being pampered. 🦄

🤩🤩Happy weekend everyone. 🤩🤩

We have had a great morning with our shimmer crew! They have learned all about the ponies food and gave them a good groom. Tilly and Charlotte had a trek round our paddock and Ginny and Molly had a mini make over in the barn! We gave Chloe the day off 🤣

In the next few weeks we hope to have our Little Marco taking part, if you haven’t been to see us, he always snorts to get some attention 🤣

Come join us at one of our Power hour/Mini make over sessions! Meet all of the ponies, learn all about what they have to eat, and prepare them a snack & brunch. Then you will meet the pony you are going to look after and groom them. You will then either take your pony on a mini trek (Power Hour) or give them a mini makeover!

Saturday............. What a day ☔️! Our visitors were brave enough to face the elements and take their ponies out on a mini trek when the heavens opened ☔️☔️ Good job we have spare jackets 🧥🧥

Sunday - We hosted a private session for a Birthday party. The girls had a mini make over and everyone loved it! All of our ponies love being groomed and sometimes fall asleep! 🐴🦄

Merry Christmas to all of our guests who we’ve met in 2023! 🧑‍🎄

We’ve hosted our last group of Christmas visitors today. A lovely set to finish the year on. 😍

We’re now closed for the rest of the year and through January too. Both the ponies and the big people need a rest! 🦄

We’ll be open again in February. 📆

Our sessions next year will have a slight difference to them and we’ll publish more details in due course. 👍

Good evening pony people!

Sorry we have been quiet lately - we have been rushed off our feet!

Firstly, we had a poorly pony (Ginny) 😞who needed the vet to come out and see her last weekend as an emergency. Luckily in the end, after some injections and TLC, she was back on the mend. 🙌

Then, Christmas sessions have been keeping us and the ponies busy and we have just ONE more session left before Christmas, this Saturday the 23rd. 🎅

It's fully booked and we're looking forward to seeing some happy faces before Christmas! 🎅🎅

After the 23rd December, we're closed for the whole of January and won't be offering any sessions throughout. 😚

We'll be back open in February with a slight adjustment to what's on offer and we'll be looking forward to seeing some old and new faces then! 🤩
