Happy world book day everyone!
To celebrate the day, I decided on a few lines from Enid Blyton "The secret seven" initially the ponies were all ears! but focus and many distractions ( mainly grass) was the issue today, but still they enjoyed a few moments.

Reading a few lines to the ponies , outside in nature with no pressure gives a new perspective on learning.

Something close to my heart is how horses can become our teachers in so many ways, I am soon to be taking further training in horse powered interactions that can be interwoven into my existing equine assisted learning activities.

It's that time of the year again! the pony's are starting to lose their winter coats. They enjoyed the winter sun today but came in very muddy they were clean after an hour or so grooming , can't say the same for me though! Fun fact 🐴 the increase in daylight hours triggers hormones in the horses body which starts of the shedding process

I would just like to thank everyone that has reached out to us in the last 4 years or so since Sensory horse went live! Its been incredibly fulfilling, rewarding and enjoyable meeting and working with everyone I've met , I also want to apologise to anyone that sent an enquiry from my website, as there was a technical issue which I do not understand! That wasn't allowing messages to reach me, this has now been resolved.
Its been an amazing journey so far and I look forward to meeting new and familiar faces in the coming year. X

Soaking up the vitamin D on this cold but lovely sunny morning,
Letting their coats do what nature intended., the minis coats are all fluffy trapping the warmer air from their body heat .
Daisys breed is a Haflinger originating from the Austrian mountains so a Hardy breed and midnight is a traditional Gypsy cob from the British Isles.
Midnight and daisy have been wearing lightweight rugs so their coats havnt grown quite as thick as the minis but they can still cope well with the colder weather so today they can roll , get dirty and have some rug free time until bedtime when the pj's go on!

I don't know how many of you are strictly fans but Bobby's beautiful dance in memory of his mum really touched my heart♥ it brought back memories and emotions of when my two young sons lost their dad and how extremely difficult it was , I also do remember how my horse Daisy was a comfort to me whilst I sobbed into her soft mane and hugged her she quietly stood with me and seemed to understand, so this is just a shout out to those beautiful Intuitive animals that offer us such comfort and empathy when we need it .

My ponies and I thought we should say Hi as its been a while! Lots of exciting things have been happening here including the arrival of 2 new 4 legged friends .
Come along and meet our ponies and enjoy the sessions we have on offer.
Shetland pony experiences and pony walks these are a fun way to bond with our ponies , enjoy grooming them and getting them ready to go on an adventure.

Pony walking on the Normanhurst estate , it was a beautiful day and the trees looked stunning .

I went for a walk with my pony today like I've done a hundred times before
But this time it seemed different thinking this might be no more
As we gazed together at the view in a moment of tranquility peace and awe
I said hello to walkers and riders passing by
I thought of all the creatures and wildlife asking please "why"
As we walked away with saddened Hearts we just prayed that things would turn out right
And Normanhurst estate can be saved from developers and all is safe for future days and nights .

I have been thinking today about how for some people , horses have come and gone throughout their lives, maybe through working with them or having horses when they were younger , and now they may not have the opportunity's to be close to horses, the feel of the horses soft coats , the warmth of their breath on cold hands , the smells around the yard , can bring back fond memories, positive emotions and sensory benefits .

Hello again everyone, I have been abit quite on here of late but that dosnt mean I've been putting my feet up and having a rest!
Busy as always with the ponies with day to day care and activities.
