Funday Friday ☁️🌞

Though the day started off foggy, it didn’t dampen our spirits! Our morning walks were all about enjoying the peaceful, secluded paths. For those allowed, there was plenty of free-run fun, while others took it easy with a leisurely sniffari. Nothing beats that morning calm!

By the afternoon, the sunshine finally made an appearance, and we took full advantage! We ventured down some scenic trails, soaking in the sounds of the tranquil stream and exploring the quiet woodlands. There was plenty of foraging fun, with curious noses investigating every leaf and twig.

We also made sure to check in on our furry friends staying cosy at home today. They got to stretch their legs, enjoy a quick toilet break, and, of course, a few belly rubs before we headed off again. Can’t forget about those who like to snooze the day away!

We’re all set and excited to see our Puppy Academy stars tomorrow and catch up with our one-to-one clients! Fingers crossed the nice weather sticks around.

Are your pups ready for the weekend? Let us know your plans in the comments!

✨ The easiest way to make training a part of your daily life? Stop thinking of it as something you need to “set aside time for” and instead build it into your routine!

I used to believe training had to be these long, structured sessions. But in reality, the best training happens in small, consistent moments throughout the day.

Here’s how I do it (and how you can too! 👇):

🌅 Morning: 5 minutes of training before the walk (sit, wait, recall practice)
🚶‍♀️ On Walks: Rewarding loose lead walking + engagement with me
🧩 Afternoon Enrichment: Snuffle mats, puzzle toys, or a frozen Kong
🏡 Evening Wind-Down: Reinforcing calm behaviours (rewarding when they settle)

💡 You don’t need an extra hour in your day—just make training a natural part of it! These small moments add up to big results over time.

What’s one way you add training into your routine? Let me know in the comments! 🐶👇

Thursday Thrills ☀️🐾

Sunshine and fun times today! We kicked off with the boys, who were full of energy and excitement, making the most of the sunrise and the peaceful forest. They were on a mission to tire me out first thing this morning with their zoomies, sniffaris, and plenty of free-run fun!

We then checked in on Jojo, who’s still confined at home but definitely didn’t seem sad about it. We shared some cuddles, and I took the chance to recharge with a much-needed coffee fix before heading back out. Who could resist that content company?

The rest of the day was all about relaxed vibes. With the sunshine sticking around, the gang took things at a leisurely stroll, soaking up the rays with no rush to get home. There was plenty of sniffing, foraging, and even some off-lead fun for those who were allowed.

Our furry CEO, Nala, joined in on the afternoon adventures, making sure her friends got extra treats and some lovely socialisation in the sunshine. She took her role as a treat distributor very seriously today!

Here’s hoping the sunshine continues tomorrow! How do your pups enjoy the sunny weather? Are they sunbathers or shade seekers? Let us know in the comments! ☀️🐕

Wednesday Wanders 🌧️🐾

With a misty start to the day, we kicked off our Wednesday Wanders in true British fashion—layered up and ready to embrace the drizzle! A bit of rain never stops the fun, especially when there are sniffaris to be had and adventures waiting on the trails. We made sure to pack extra treats, especially since Tuppy was left to her own devices today (can’t let her miss out on the fun!).

We even checked in on our furry friends staying cosy at home, giving them some playtime and a toilet break before heading back out. It’s all about making sure everyone gets their share of love and attention!

The afternoon was filled with excitement as the girls took their time, sniffing every flower in sight and enjoying a leisurely pace. It was all about taking in the scents of spring and just being themselves—no rush, just pure doggy bliss.

We also spent some time working with our new walkers, helping them build trust and confidence on the trails. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a pup start to feel comfortable and enjoy their walks.

We wrapped up the day with our furry CEO, Nala, stepping in just as the rain took a break. She made sure her friends got their fair share of treats and led a lovely, calming walk to end the day on a relaxed note.

Fingers crossed the sunshine that’s been promised makes an appearance tomorrow! How do your pups handle the rainy weather—do they jump in every puddle, or are they more of the ‘cosy indoors’ type? Let us know in the comments! 🌦️🐕

Tuesday Trails 🌿🐾

The day kicked off bright and early with Wolf on his morning walk, making the most of the peaceful trails and all the fresh smells the rain had left behind. Nothing like a solo sniffari to start the day right!

Jojo had a more relaxed morning, patiently waiting for her new muzzle to arrive so she can get back to her walks. In the meantime, she enjoyed some well-deserved cuddle time and a coffee break with me while we cleared up the chaos her sister had left before daycare—classic sibling antics!

The boys made full use of their off-lead time, exploring every inch of the forest, while the girls were all about the flowers today. Spring is definitely on its way, and they seemed to be taking in every fresh bloom and scent along the way.

Our furry CEO, Nala, joined in on the afternoon walk, spending time with her friends and soaking up the change of scenery. She made sure everyone got to forage for their treats, with Daisy getting a special round of scatter feeding to make it easier for her—always looking out for her pals!

We wrapped up the day with the most enthusiastic gang, who greet me like it’s the best part of their day—and honestly, it is! Lots of foraging, plenty of tail wags, and some great pictures for their mummies (even a few cheeky smiles caught on camera!).

Fingers crossed for some sunshine tomorrow! How do your pups react to the first signs of spring—sniffing every flower or rolling straight in the mud? Let us know in the comments! 🐶🌸

Monday Madness 🐾🌿

The week kicked off with lots of excitement from our furry friends, all buzzing to see me! Even though the weather wasn’t at its best, the light rain didn’t dampen spirits—sniffaris were in full swing, with plenty of foraging, fun in the stream, and, of course, rolling in the leaves (because why not?!).

By the afternoon, the sunshine finally made an appearance, bringing all the wagging tails—and even some full-on bum wags! Everyone was making the most of the fresh new smells the rain had left behind. Martha, however, learned the hard way that not all flowers smell as nice as they look after sticking her nose straight into one she wasn’t too keen on! 😂

With the flowers starting to bloom, we made sure to capture some lovely photos—because spring is definitely on the way! 🌸✨

We also popped in on our furry friends staying home today, making sure they had time to stretch their legs, pop out for the toilet, and of course, enjoy some well-deserved belly rubs before we headed back out.

Here’s hoping the sunshine sticks around! How do your pups react to the first signs of spring—sniffers or zoomers? Let us know in the comments! 🐶☀️

Fantastical Friday 🌸🐾

The day started with lots of excitement and wagging tails! After yesterday’s rain, the trails were packed with fresh scents, making for the perfect sniffari and foraging fun. The pups were absolutely in their element, noses to the ground and tails in the air!

By the afternoon, we were treated to a little sunshine (finally!), and with the flowers starting to bloom, we couldn’t resist using them as the perfect backdrop for some pup photos to send to their mummies. Nothing like a bit of nature’s beauty to make our walks even more special! 📸✨

We wrapped up the day with some calming walks, as the last group decided to take things at a slower pace, enjoying a bit more foraging and soaking up the peaceful vibes before heading home.

Looking forward to seeing our Puppy Academy pups tomorrow, along with our one-to-one clients—fingers crossed the rain stays away! 🌞 How are your pups spending the weekend? Let us know in the comments! 🐶💛

5 years ago, I started my business with one goal: to help dog parents understand and meet their dog’s needs through kind, positive training.

If I could give you one piece of advice about training, it’s this:
👉 Training isn’t about “fixing” your dog. It’s about understanding them.

Your dog isn’t being stubborn, naughty, or trying to push your buttons. Every behaviour has a reason:
🐾 Pulling on the lead? They might be overstimulated.
🐾 Barking at other dogs? They might be scared or unsure.
🐾 Ignoring cues? They might be confused or distracted.

Instead of asking, “How do I stop this?” try asking, “Why is my dog doing this?”

When we approach training with empathy and curiosity, we stop focusing on punishment and start building trust.
💡 Meet their needs. Build the relationship. The results will follow.

Need help understanding your dog? I’m here to help! 🐕💬

Thunderous Thursday 🌧️🐾

The day kicked off early with plenty of mud and rain, but that didn’t dampen the boys' spirits! As always, they were full of excitement for their sniffari, making sure to keep me on my toes while enjoying some free-run time. Wolf was particularly proud to show off his fresh haircut—though I must admit, I prefer him fluffy! That being said, he’s definitely easier to towel down now. 😂

Our furry CEO, Nala, joined in on the lunchtime walks, making sure the girls got extra treats—especially when the drizzle turned into a full-on downpour! By the time we got home, everyone needed a towel down, and I needed a quick change of coat before heading back out. Nala, of course, was tucked up at home after lunch, drying off in style!

The heavy rain stuck around for the afternoon, but these guys weren’t fazed. We made the most of it, foraging in the foliage and taking in all the fresh post-rain scents. We ended the day with a relaxed walk with a new client, helping their dogs get used to me at their pace—always the best approach for nervous pups.

Fingers crossed for less rain tomorrow! How does your pup feel about rainy walks—do they love it or run for cover? Let us know in the comments! 🐶🌧️✨

🚫 Skip the Rawhide – Here’s Why! 🐾

Rawhide chews are everywhere, but did you know they can be dangerous for your dog?

🦴 Choking and Blockages
Rawhide softens when chewed, breaking into large chunks that can block your dog’s airway or intestines – often leading to emergency surgery.

☠️ Toxic Chemicals
Many rawhides are treated with harsh chemicals like bleach during production. Not exactly the healthy chew we’re led to believe!

🦠 Bacteria Risks
Rawhide can carry bacteria like salmonella, posing risks to both your dog and your family.

❌ No Nutritional Value
It’s just a processed by-product with no health benefits for your pup.

✨ Safer Alternatives?
Choose natural options like dried fish skins, yak cheese chews, frozen carrots, or interactive toys like Kongs!

Your dog’s health matters – skip the rawhide and go for safer, healthier chews. 🐾

Wednesday Wanders 🌿🐾

The day started bright and early with Wolf enjoying a peaceful stroll by the stream, taking in all the fresh scents on his morning sniffari. It is a lovely, calm way to start the day!

Our furry CEO, Nala, joined in on Tuppance and Mokee’s walks, lending a helping paw in teaching them how to have a nice, calming walk. Of course, that didn’t stop them from squeezing in some playful moments—lots of foraging, zoomies, and chasing each other around for extra fun!

The afternoon was all about chilled vibes. Everyone took their wander at their own pace, enjoying a relaxed sniffari, scatter feeding (for those allowed), and some fun game time. April, as always, kept things entertaining—she couldn’t decide whether she wanted to take me for a walk, play with sticks, or have a little chase session. Why choose when you can do it all? 😂

Another day full of wagging tails and happy pups—fingers crossed for some sunshine tomorrow! How does your pup like to mix playtime and exploring? Let us know in the comments! 🐶☀️

🐾 How to Handle Multi-Dog Walks 🐾*

Walking more than one dog at a time can be a juggling act, but with the right approach, it can be an enjoyable and stress-free experience for everyone! 🐶🐶 Here are my top tips for managing multi-dog walks:

Use the Right Equipment
Invest in sturdy, well-fitted harnesses for each dog. Avoid retractable leads, as they can make managing multiple dogs tricky.

Practise Loose Lead Walking
Work on loose lead walking with each dog individually before attempting a group walk. This ensures everyone knows what’s expected and makes the walk much smoother.

Plan Your Route
Stick to familiar, dog-friendly routes with plenty of space, especially while getting used to walking multiple dogs. Avoid crowded areas to reduce stress and distractions.

Keep Things Organised
Position the dogs on the same side of you (e.g., all on your left) to avoid getting tangled. If one dog tends to pull, place them closer to you for better control.

Manage Sniffing Time
Give each dog the chance to sniff, but be mindful of fairness. Take turns stopping for each dog to explore, so no one feels left out.

Bring Treats and Rewards
Carry treats to reward calm and focused behaviour during the walk. This can help reinforce good walking habits, especially in a group setting.

Stay Aware
Pay attention to each dog’s body language and energy. If one starts to get overstimulated or tired, adjust the walk to keep everyone comfortable.

Practise Recall Separately
If your walk includes off-lead time, ensure each dog has a reliable recall. Practise individually before trusting them to return when in a group.

Take Breaks
Multi-dog walks can be more physically and mentally demanding for everyone, including you! Take short breaks for water and rest as needed.

Do you walk multiple dogs? Share your best tips or funniest stories in the comments! If you need help with loose lead walking or managing group walks, drop me a DM—I’d love to help!

Tuesday Thrills 🐾☀️

Today was full of excitement from start to finish! We kicked off with the boys, who were beyond thrilled to see me as always. They wasted no time heading straight into a sniffari adventure, keeping me firmly on my toes while they explored every nook and cranny!

The fun didn’t stop there—our pups brought endless energy throughout the day. I made sure to take some adorable, sun-kissed photos for their mummies who were busy working hard (because who doesn’t need a mid-day pup 1.

We wrapped up the day with calming vibes thanks to Blitz and Kimba, who set their own leisurely pace. Foraging and game time were top of the list, and we continued working on ‘touch’ and ‘catch’—they’re getting better every day!

Our furry CEO, Nala, enjoyed a solo walk after all the excitement. She took her time, checked out the treats I brought back (quality control, obviously), and soaked up the scenery as the sun began to set—a perfect way to end the day before tea!

Here’s hoping for another sunny adventure tomorrow! How do your pups like to spend their sunny days? Let us know in the comments! 🐶💛

When you know, you know… 🐾✨

Nala’s super sniffer never fails! The moment I walk through the door with a bag from Holly at she’s all over it – because let’s be honest, who can resist those natural, delicious treats?

It’s not just about tasty snacks, though. Knowing I’m giving Nala safe, high-quality chews that align with my values makes all the difference. Holly also makes sure that it meets Nala's dietary needs. No nasties, no worries – just happy waggy tails!

🐾 Tail-Wagging Tuesdays: Build the Bond 🐾

The Magic of Slow, Mindful Walks: Walk Together, Not Just Next to Each Other

Did you know that slowing down on your walks can actually strengthen your bond with your dog?

Many of us think of walks as exercise or a quick trip to the toilet—but for our dogs, walks are a world of smells, sights, and experiences that fulfill essential mental and emotional needs.

Why Slow, Mindful Walks Are Powerful

🐶 Strengthens Your Connection
When you slow down and walk with your dog—rather than just taking your dog for a walk—you become part of their world. Research shows that dogs rely heavily on scent for information, with their noses capable of identifying scents 10,000 to 100,000 times more accurately than humans (Horowitz, 2016).

🧠 Provides Mental Enrichment
Slow walks let your dog use their nose, which isn’t just fun—it’s mentally exhausting! Sniffing activates parts of their brain that help them process information and decompress. In fact, scent work has been found to lower a dog’s heart rate and reduce stress (Duranton & Horowitz, 2019).

💬 Improves Communication
When you walk mindfully, you’ll start noticing more of your dog’s signals—where they pause, how they react to new smells, and what excites or concerns them. In turn, your dog will feel more seen, heard, and understood.

How to Enjoy a Slow, Mindful Walk Together

🔹 Let Them Lead (Within Reason) – Follow your dog’s nose occasionally and let them choose the direction.
🔹 Pause for Sniff Breaks – Stand still for a minute and let your dog explore that lamppost or bush.
🔹 Engage in Their World – Comment on what they’re doing in a happy tone (yes, talking to your dog builds your bond!).
🔹 Breathe & Observe – Take a deep breath, slow your steps, and enjoy the moment together.

Walking together isn’t just exercise—it’s quality time. So, on your next walk, slow down, breathe, and experience the world alongside your dog. 🌿🐾

💬 Do you give your dog time to sniff and explore on walks? Let me know in the comments!

Monday Mayhem 🐾✨

Today was full of wagging tails and happy adventures! Our furry CEO, Nala, joined the morning walks, making sure everyone enjoyed a good sniffari while taking a calming pace to forage out any treats I had sneakily hidden along the way—nothing gets past those noses!

The afternoon brought plenty of giggles, especially with Rex, who was determined to find a puddle (knowing he’s off to the groomers tomorrow, he clearly wanted to make the most of getting as dirty as possible!). Thankfully, we managed to avoid the mud… just about!

We wrapped up the day with our excitable duo, who made the most of their foraging time, taking it slow to sniff out every last treat. We even paused for a moment to enjoy the views and watch the deer wander by—it’s moments like these that make every walk so special.

Fingers crossed it gets a little warmer tomorrow! How do your pups feel about muddy puddles—are they puddle seekers like Rex or happy to stay clean? Let us know in the comments! 🐶💛

Funday Friday 🐾🎉

Today started a little later than planned, but as always, the fun didn’t stop! The boys kicked things off with a sniffari hunt—searching for mischief, puddles, and the odd hidden treat. There were plenty of giggles along the way, especially when the puddles turned out to be deeper than expected! 😂

Our furry CEO, Nala, joined in for the afternoon walks, enjoying some quality time with Mummy while helping keep the boys in line (or at least trying to!). We took a turn down some old, forgotten paths and found ourselves navigating mud, a stream, and some hidden stairs tucked away in the trees. It’s always so exciting to discover new trails and the wonders nature has to offer. 🌿✨

We also made time to pop in on our furry friends staying cosy at home, giving them a chance to stretch their legs, have a toilet break, and of course, enjoy some quick belly rubs before heading off again.

Looking forward to meeting our new Puppy Academy group tomorrow and catching up with our one-to-one clients! Fingers crossed this lovely sunshine sticks around.

How does your dog react to finding new trails? Do they love to explore or stick to the familiar? Let us know in the comments! 🐶💛
