Sickness in dogs,
Sadly one of my gorgeous dogs has a tummy bug, so won’t be joining us untill she’s better, but it does highlight how many bugs are going around at the moment!
Please make sure to let me know if your dog has tummy trouble asap, keep an eye on hydration and if necessary take to a vet. They can go downhill fast in the heat.

Have you heard of Crumb tags? They are a QR coded dog tag, that’s stores your pets info and is scannable. Think a cross between a tag and a chip. I got one for Bea and the service has been incredible.
There is a monthly subscription but to me it’s well worth it.

Hot weather information!
As we know, Summer has finally arrived! Yay!
Here at Forest walks HQ we have cool floors, shade, water bowls in every room and the puppy pool is coming out this week!
On walks… some advice is that over 20dc walks are to be under advisement.
I’ll always check the temp of the floor, and walk in shady areas with running water where possible!
Every dog is different! If you aren’t happy for your dog to walk then it’s absolutely ok to say so!
I’m happy to either swap to a home visit, check in, play and cuddle and make sure water topped up, or miss that walk.
Sadly I can’t offer earlier walks as college runs in morning aren’t flexible.
I carry fresh water in the car, have tinted windows and never leave dogs in car for more than a few mins to drop one off/ pick up or to refuel car.

The dreaded Kennel cough is doing the rounds again and we have had a possible contact this week!
Please message if you need to know more and contact your vet if you spot any symptoms.
I alway advise vaccinating for it, and it’s in my contract paperwork, but if you haven’t please consider getting it done.
It’s 6 weeks of no day care or walks if your poor doggo gets it.

So I broke down this morning.
I’m feeling very sad and dogged by bad luck today.
Luckily I can manage walks from the house but all driving walks are cancelled for the next few days as I have no truck.

Last week I let a lot of my amazing clients and gorgeous dogs down!
I had what drs called a neck spasm, the pain was unreal and I couldn’t hold my own head up. I couldn’t sleep, walk, drive or do almost anything for myself for a few days.
Thank you all for being so understanding and to my kids and hubs for helping with walking dogs that were staying and all the little things I take for granted that I do without a second thought usually.
Thankfully I’ve got 99% movement back and minimal pain so back to normal for me!
I’ve missed my woofs and walks!
Special mention to Kate Miller FURever Friends pet sitting service for helping me with some dogs too!
Letting people down is a massive worry for me.
I may be independant, but I’m not alone ###
