We at Back on Track are one of � UK’s leading equine Retirement & Rehabilitation livery. We specialize in giving full care for your horse or pony with organic grazing at our Farm on the Norfolk/Suffolk border .We also now have our paddock paradise -Track livery (we have added to our many livery options ) that runs approx 1 mile round our farm with all horse safe fencing with so many places to loa

When you are no longer able to ride but do not want the trouble of loaning out your horse or losing ownershipor your horse needs rehabilitation from injury or lami we can provide you with a choice of different livery plans . Grace is our work experience teenager who works every Monday for her college farming course but also then has a paid job here on Saturdays with horses ! She is in charge of the chickens and duck ,& pigs today moving the chooks into somewhere warm she makes my day this one she is truly so funny 🤣

Yes we lost a field shelter 😞 ( Margot paddock ) horses are safe 😞

But that’s the least of our worries ! This freaked me out … Dangerous out there ! Be careful!

Oh my goodness, I can’t believe how frustrating this is! 😤 My mare Clover just had eye surgery, and our vet bills are already over £5000! But what really ticks me off is the insane markup on medications! 😡

Take this tiny tube of eye ointment, for example. The vet wants £38 for it, and I found it online for just £6! 😱 Plus, they wanted to charge me £7.50 for shipping when I got free delivery online!

I totally appreciate the vets and their expertise, but this price gouging on meds is just disgusting! 🤮 It feels like they're taking advantage of us when we're already stressed about our pets. Something needs to change! 🐴💔

🎭✨ Night out with my middle daughter Poppy to see Wicked the movie! 🎬💚

We went for the Luxe suite at Odeon. Yes, I know it’s silly money, but you only live once! Ha! Plus, who can resist a night of luxury? I mean, our own pod?! I half-expected to see a butler named Jeeves serving us popcorn and sparkling water. 🥂🍿

The fancy recliners were so comfortable that I almost forgot I was there to watch a movie and not just take a luxurious nap! 😴💤 I might have dozed off during the opening credits… but don’t worry, I woke up just in time for the flying monkeys! 🐒✈️

So, who else has seen Wicked? I loved it! The music, the costumes, the drama—everything was on point! I’m so excited to go see it again with Tom next week. I just hope he doesn’t mind that I’ve already given Poppy a full 5-star review on the soundtrack. 🎶⭐️

If anyone needs me, I'll be in my pod, practicing my “Defying Gravity” notes and trying to convince Jeeves to bring me more nachos! 😂💚✨

🌟✨ Healing Update on Our Brave Girl! 🌟✨

Shes such a lovely mare even her cut is heart ❤️ shaped ! Like her star on her face too - full of hearts 💕 this one !

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a little update on our incredible horse who had that unfortunate firework accident. 🐴💖 She's been such a trooper throughout this healing journey!

We're changing her bandage every 2 days, and she's on antibiotics and painkillers to keep her comfortable. While the wound is on a joint, which makes it a bit tricky and takes longer to heal, we are staying positive! Each day brings us closer to her recovery. 🙌

We're keeping a close eye on the wound to prevent too much granulation, and we’re hopeful that as soon as the skin starts to meet again, we’ll be in the clear! 💪

Despite the challenges, she's been absolutely fabulous, ❤️ Thank you all for your love and support during this time. We can’t wait to see her back to her playful self soon! 🐾💕

Colic 😢

She is fine now !! Fingers crossed 🤞 it continues

Last week Skye who is 28 years young had a rough 3 days with the vets called our 3 times to tube and pain relief from colic - she was sooo uncomfortable
Maybe sand colic ? Or her Cushing medication increased caused it ? You never no ?
3 sleepless nights checking in her every 2 hours
Hours of walking thanks to grooms helping too !
Tears and worry too !

But now out eating and bring Skye ! Thank goodness 😅

The gorgeous Mina had a clip today either Ebony and Courtney- she was as good as gold
This is to aid weight loss through the winter we use natures seasons to aid us

Mina is head honcho so on the track she is top mare so all you can eat buffet !
So we are trying to help 🙂

Cuteness overload !!!

🤗Welcome 🤗 Callie and Joey 🐴 🐴

Callie is the grey & Joey is the bay, both 25 years young !
They arrived late last night after 9 hour journey from Devon ! They are a bonded pair so very important to keep them together in their retirement 🙂

They are soooo fluffy and use to being bare foot and living out so fit it in here straight away !

So 10 days in meet and greet paddock before we decide what paddock for these guys to move too

🐴Update 🐴This was the horse that injured her self going through our fence due to fireworks and rockets in the village ( video of cut in comments ) 2nd Update - as This post is getting bigger please click and sign the ban on fireworks below ⬇️ https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700013 🎆🎇✍️ to ban them here ✅ She lacerated her front leg - so we cold hose daily -leg cleaned , painkillers and 3 days on box rest and now she is back out with daily cleaning and meds she enjoyed the hand picked grass and herbs that Ebony picked for her to keep her mind busy while she was in 😞 #f**kingfireworks #injuryfireworks #equineinjury #hatefireworks I loved fireworks like the next person and have 4 kids and years ago yes I had home displays ! But since knowing better I did better ! No fireworks again unless I go to a professional display People in my village seem to thinks it’s hilarious that us “animal folk” wanted to know who was having fireworks so we could prepare and gets vet on standby ! So whilst you “ooohed and ahhed” and stuffed your face with hot dogs - there was people like me - who had worked all day and then had to to spend hours in paddocks watching horses loose their sh*t and hurt them self ! It’s disgusting the tone of post on my local village page - people think it’s funny - glad I’m not you ! I welcome any one of you to trade one of your nights during the bonfire season to shadow me for the night ( see if it would change your mind seeing the fear in a flight animals eyes ) #injuryfireworks #hatefireworks #nobettterdobetter
