🚀🐄 Throwback to another giant leap… for cattle!

Our vet Dan just performed artificial insemination on 2 Hereford cows using semen frozen way back in June 1969—just one month before humans took their first steps on the moon 🌕 and while the Cold War was at full freeze❄️.

While the world was racing to space, someone was busy preserving cattle genetics for the future—and today, we’re thawing a little piece of that history.

Sometimes, farming really is rocket science! 🚜✨

This Sunday, 180 ladies and their pink tractors will be completing a 20 mile tractor road run around Harleston and the surrounding villages to raise money for Breast Cancer Research 💕🚜💨💕🚜💨💕🚜💨

If you fancy popping down it's a fun day out and always great to see our farming community out in pink!

Look out for farm vet Alex, she’ll will be driving a little Massey Ferguson!👋

Any donations (via the link below) would be gratefully received for this very worthy cause.

Thank you 🌺

ANNUAL ROYAL NORFOLK SHOW 2025 🎪

Once again we will have a stand at the Royal Norfolk Show and we're looking forward to welcoming you all during the course of the two day show for a catch up over refreshments.

This year we are back to our usual spot opposite the cow sheds/rings. We will be on stand number 404 on Avenue 10. We will be sharing the stand with Norwich Livestock Market so do pop along to see us all.

We are gratefully receiving donations towards any food & drink on the stand this year. All donated proceeds are to go to charity, of which the chosen recipients are (Farms for City Children). Please visit the attached link for further information.

🏃‍♀️***ROUND NORFOLK RELAY - 13-14TH SEPTEMBER 2025***🏃‍♂️

We are in need of a few more runners who are able to run long distance of anywhere between 13 - 18 miles. Having set up our own running club (TRaC FV Run Club), we have entered our team into the Round Norfolk Relay this year and need a few more individuals to represent us. The race is approximately 200 miles long in total.

We are running to fundraise in aid of *Farms for City Children*. Farms for City Children provide residential experiences for children from disadvantaged communities, giving them the opportunity to work on farms, learn about food production, and spend time in nature. For more information about this fantastic charity, visit this link: https://farmsforcitychildren.org/.

We already have a number of staff members participating, but would love to have some client involvement as well! Please get in touch by emailing [email protected] or calling us on 01502 712169 (option 1) if you would be keen to represent and run in this fun charity event!

Thank you!

Today we recognise National Receptionists’ Day, a perfect opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate our Receptionists.
Being a Veterinary Receptionist can be a diverse and demanding job, requiring a wide range of skills. From ensuring high standards of hygiene and infection prevention, to answering calls and booking appointments, to staying organised and accurate with admin tasks—our Reception teams’ work is essential.
To celebrate we wanted to share a photo of some of our amazing receptionists.
