At the weekend Fire Dragons travelled to Warwickshire for an event hosted by Northants Falcons Flyball Team .Over the 2 days we had typical British, late spring weather, 🌧 🌞 wind 🌪. On Saturday we had 2 league teams Fire ravens and unicorns, and a single Cooper run by Florence our Junior. Unfortunately in Ravens first heat Jinx collided in to Nashi, leaving them both a bit shaken up. Both were checked over and Jinx was a little lame but no serious injuries so was pulled from racing. Nashi continued and the team ran NFC, taking the time to work on some niggles. Unicorns always the best to watch, had their own issues as during the morning Oscar decided the jumps were optional. However, with a little bit of a pep talk and ran foot perfect earning himself the level 3 Award for most improved dog. Cooper did exceptionally well completing 7 clean heats .
On Sunday we had 3 singles, Nashi, Jacko and Nyx. Nashi with 6 clean heats wasn't placed in his division but both Jacko and Nyx came first with 8 clean runs and the fastest times in their divisions.
Best of all we and our dogs had fun. We met up with our flyball family, had some great racing and as a I judge worked with some fantastic ring party and other Juges.
