Rosie didn’t cancel with an hour to spare, or worse, not turn up at all.

This December has been hideous for last minute cancellations and no shows. I have turned dogs away due to no availability to have people disregard their appointment.
SIX no shows/last minute cancellations. It is not acceptable. I am running a BUSINESS, not a ‘pop in if you fancy it’.

How would you feel if your employer or the taxman took £400+ out of your December paycheck? Not good huh?… SAME.

These people who have ignored requests to pay for their missed appointment, or just refused to answer communication point blank (YES, REALLY) are NOT welcome back.

Unfortunately, as always, the few ruin it for the majority. 50% deposit will be taken on any future bookings and will not be refunded if you miss or cancel within 48 hours of your appointment.

💌 Messages like these make my day 💌

I know you don’t often see many of the dogs’ finished grooms on my page — I’m absolutely terrible at remembering to take photos 🙈. If I’ve got a few spare minutes at the end of a groom, I’d much rather spend it fussing and having a little playtime than reaching for my phone.

That’s why it means so much when I receive lovely messages from owners saying how great their dogs look and how happy they are with their grooms 🐾✂️. It makes me feel amazing knowing the dogs leave looking and feeling their best, and that their owners are just as happy too.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to send me notes like this — they honestly make my day 💛.

🏆 Move over Crufts… Hendrix has arrived! 🏆

Our boy Hendrix has been hitting the doggie competition circuit and scooping up rosettes like it’s his day job 🎉🐾. The judges can’t resist his gorgeous coat — and honestly, who could blame them? ✨

Every six weeks he rockets out of the car and straight through the salon doors like a rock star running on stage 💨🎸 (and yes, we both get equally giddy when we see each other!).

Between his regular grooms and his top-notch diet, Hendrix’s coat is practically winning awards on its own 🐶✂️💎.

I’ve just started cooking my dogs’ meals completely from scratch — and let me tell you, the bowls are being licked clean! 🐾✨

This week’s menu:
🥩 steak mince
🍗 boiled chicken
🍠 sweet potato & butternut squash
🥦 broccoli & cauliflower
🌽 peas & sweetcorn

All mashed together into one big doggy feast. 🐶💚

New season, new look — your dog is trading in their summer coat for their thicker winter one. Translation: fluff… everywhere.

Think of it as the latest fashion drop, except instead of strutting the runway, your dog’s covering your sofa, your clothes, and probably your brew.

A de-shedding groom keeps the “collection” under control, stops your pup feeling itchy and uncomfortable, and keeps your hoover from walking out on you.

Every six weeks, Monsieur Dougie the French Bulldog saunters in for his très chic spa routine — de-shed shampoo, mud bath, and the finest blow-dry a gent could ask for. (Although, naturellement, the face is towel-dry only. One must protect one’s dignity. 🧴✨)

He’s easy-oasy, laid-back, and smoother than a glass of Bordeaux. Très bien, très charmant… très Dougie. 💙🇫🇷

🌾🐾 The Dangers of Grass Seeds 🐾🌾

Spoke to a dog walker yesterday who’d just had an £800 vet bill because a grass seed made its way into their dog’s ear canal. Yep — £800, a general anaesthetic, and one very sorry pup later.

Grass seeds might look tiny and harmless, but they’re sneaky little things that can burrow into paws, ears, armpits — you name it. Left unchecked, they can cause nasty infections and a lot of pain.

I’ve even found a few sneaky ones hiding in paws recently during grooms, so it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.

👉 Always check your dog after walks, especially if they’ve got fluffy feet or love bounding through long grass. A quick once-over can save a whole lot of money (and drama).

Rolling in with maximum bum-waggle energy… it’s Hendrix the Staffy! He’s been one of my regulars for about a year now, rocking up every six weeks for his de-shedding shampoo, mud bath, and towel-dry (because the hairdryer is obviously his sworn enemy 🌀👀).

Hendrix is pure joy — cheeky, handsome, and full of character. He’s the kind of dog that makes you forget you’re at work and reminds you why you love what you do. 💙
