Scotland, here we come!!! 😍

Okay, so finally time for the big announcement: I’m teaming up with my good friend and awesome UK dog trainer Jimmy Allen (Dog Pawfection) for a very special 2-day seminar in Scotland! 😳

We’re going to be covering all aspects of the most cutting edge training work using a wide range of tools and approaches, we’ll be sharing our unique training philosophies which have enabled us to create success with a myriad of training challenges, and we’ll also explore our unique insights for how we coach and empower owners to succeed even with the most challenging dogs.

This will be an awesome opportunity for owners looking to find much needed solutions in a warm and supportive environment, and will be equally valuable for trainers looking to explore new approaches/ideas/concepts that can absolutely transform their training game.

We’ll be offering 10 working spots for anyone looking to get truly breakthrough answers for their dog’s issues, and we’ll also have plenty of audit spots available as well.

Spots will go fast, so if you’d like to join us, be sure to grab yours asap! ❤️

Dealing with separation anxiety!

In this video you will see chewy. He arrived at me an hour before before this video. He is with me for 3 weeks residential training for going ballistic at dogs and people. They have had three purely positive trainers out and the last one recommended putting him to sleep. Now I’m good at what I do but I couldn’t do this in an hour without an ecollar.

Also it should be noted that by the time I put him up against a dog I didn’t need to do any ecollar corrections to get this because I used the ecollar to get him into a calm following state of mind long before a dog came on the scene.

Getting the dog in a healthy state of mind, and out of the perpetual fight or fight mindset, is the key and only an ecollar can do this.

A well propagated myth about dogs I keep having to educate my clients about is the following:-
“Ignore the bad and reward the good”

This myth is the opposite of how dogs perceive the world. If you take the dog back to when it was in its litter with its mum. It’s mum would groom the pup, feed the pup, make sure it is safe, etc. Though when it comes to the pups behaviour the mum would only interact with the pup when it is doing something wrong, to correct it for bad behaviour. If the pup was behaving appropriately the mum would ignore her pup.

In the dog world the absence of a correction let’s the dog know it’s doing the right thing. So when your dog is misbehaving and you ignore it, you are telling your dog that you are happy with that behaviour.
