We were overjoyed to receive this video from our keepers who have travelled with them to Holland. Your can hear from the noises they are making how happy they are to see each other after their journey.
We will keep you updated with more photos next week .
Belfast Zoo would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has come along to see Dhunja & Yhetto during our farewell week, everyone who sent in photos and shared memories of the elephants over the years. Your support and well wishes have been overwhelming and we are so grateful.
Our beautiful ladies leave on the 24th of July so there's still time to say goodbye.

🦥Baby sloth update 🦥
Newborn two-toed sloths use the stomach of their mother as a cradle and are well camouflaged in their fur so it can be quite difficult to spot them.
Why not come along this bank holiday weekend to see if you can spot our new arrival?

Our Sclater’s crowned pigeons are enjoying the heat in the rainforest house. ☀
They spend a lot of time on the ground, looking for fallen seeds and fruit. 🍇
Did you know Sclater’s crowned pigeons are related to the grey pigeons we see on our streets every day?

🧡 EXCITING BABY NEWS! 🧡
Some of our recent visitors may have noticed two tiny orange bundles of joy amongst our François’ Langur group. 🐒
Keepers were delighted to discover that experienced mothers Nicolene and Chua were pregnant, and we are happy to confirm that both little ones have arrived safe and sound.
François’ Langurs are classified as endangered with fewer than 500 individuals believed to be left in Vietnam and 1,400–1,650 in China. Belfast Zoo works in collaboration with the European Endangered Species Programme (EEP) and has now welcomed over 20 babies.
The first of the most recent additions was born to mum Nicolene at the end of November last year and is now beginning to explore independently. Chua’s baby was born at the beginning of January and is still clinging tightly to mum. AJ is the proud father of both.
The new babies can be spotted with their family outside around the Monkey Loop. They are currently living next door to our Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroos.
Swing by with your little monkeys to welcome our new arrivals. We are open 10am - 4pm with last entry at 2.30pm.
