In order to ensure the health of our pets, a faecal examination
for intestinal parasites is an important part of a regular checkup. Over the next number of weeks up until the end of July 2024, we are providing FREE OF CHARGE faecal testing for dogs and cats for all our registered clients. All you need to do is call into the clinic and collect a sample pot, add a pea sized sample of your pets P**p and leave it back into the clinic. We sent it away and get back to you via message to let you know the results.

Starting Monday the 13th May 2024, there will be building work being carried out on the premises. We aim to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum and the only areas affected will be the entrance to the car park from the Castlereagh Road and the waiting area. Parking will still be available at the rear of the building however it may be less than usual. Access to the car park will ONLY be available via the entrance onto Ladas Drive. With regards to the waiting area, we will be moving this out into the foyer area. Please visit as normal and let the receptionists know you have arrived for any appointments.

This month one of our team members was nominated for Receptionist of the Year. We are so proud to say Lucy won the award and the staff were able to support her at the awards ceremony. During her time with the clinic, Lucy has been a great support to both our clients and the staff alike. Lucy goes the extra mile and nothing is ever too much. This has been a well deserved award and we congratulate Lucy for being recognised for how amazing she is and what she does for the clinic.

This little one was found yesterday near Connswater, finder kept safe.

There is a microchip but unfortunately the contact numbers aren’t up to date.

UPDATE - now found a home 🥰

‼️REHOMING APPEAL‼️

This beautiful big boy is Muffin. Sadly his owner has passed away and we are helping their family search for a new home for him. He is 6 and a half years old, neutered and has a microchip. He has lived with a dog but we are unsure of how he would be with other cats. He would be best in a quieter home with no young children and with access to outdoors. If you think you would be able to give him a home, please contact us and we will give you the details.

With Easter coming up we wanted to highlight the possible dangers to our companion animals at this time. Chocolate, raisins and sultanas are all TOXIC to dogs & cats so please ensure to keep all chocolate and Easter snacks such as hot cross buns out of reach. Lillies and daffodils and other spring bulbs are also toxic so please ensure to keep these out of reach too - especially from cats! If you go to the fact sheets section on our website we have a poison guide, where you can input the details of anything your pet may have consumed along with details and it will tell you how severe this may be.

💕Nora Update💕

Thank you so so much everyone who helped wee Nora get her investigatory procedures yesterday. A huge thank you also to head vet Peter at Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic for the amazing care of Nora and our other rescues.

Thankfully, Nora’s lungs look ok. However, she’s been diagnosed with partial tracheal collapse. With Peter’s brilliant veterinary expertise and the unwavering love and dedication of Nora's long term foster mum, we have no doubt that we'll be able to manage her condition well.

It’s hard to believe that wee Nora was rescued off a meat truck in 2022 by Saving Harbin Dogs in China. Now she's living the most amazing life in Northern Ireland. It just shows you what teamwork and love can do. Because every dog deserves a chance. 💕

Deceased cat 💔🌈

Sadly we have had a deceased cat handed in - a long haired black with a white patch, un neutered male who is not microchipped. He was wearing this red collar. He was found outside the garage on Beersbridge Road, he was most likely hit by a car. 😢 If you think this may be your cat please call us on 02890799977

⚠️ RIZZO IS HOME!! 🤩🥳 thank you very much to everyone who helped. 🩵

RIZZO is an 18 months old tabby. He escaped from the car when visiting our clinic Castlereagh Road at Grand Parade.

He’s Been missing for 3 days now. He's probably has no idea of that area. His home is Marina Park. Please look out for him around Orangefield, Cregagh and Castlereagh area. Rizzo is chipped.

RTA - DECEASED CAT ‼️😿🌈

Unfortunately we had a cat handed in last night who had been hit by a car on the Cregagh Road. He was left alive by the driver who hit him and one of our clients who saw this happen kindly brought him to us, sadly he passed away not long after being brought in.

He is an un-neutered male cat, black and white semi long hair with no microchip or collar. If you think you may know this cat please give us a call 02890799977.

We have had a white, entire male cat with no microchip or collar handed in. Some very kind folks stopped after seeing this cat get hit by a car on Mountmerrion Avenue and brought him to us. sadly he was DOA.
