Alison, Tracy and Joy finally managed to get Wagz opened on March 1st.

We provide a full range of grooming services and are also pleased to be able to offer, by appointment, Complimentary Therapies such as Reiki, Massage, Aromatherapy and Homeopathy.

⚠️ We have decided to close Wagz tomorrow, Friday 24th due to the extreme weather expected.

We will be reaching out to those booked in to reschedule, as it's definitely a day recommended to not do any unnecessary travelling. 😅

🚫 We have not got contact information for two dogs booked in for tomorrow, so we hope you see our post too! 🚫

Thank you for understanding, the safety of our staff and customers is the most important. We will get back to pampering all your pets again once the storm passes and is safe to do so 😊😊

❤️ We are so incredibly lucky that 99.9% of our customers are so amazing, supportive and respectful - and we appreciate all of you. ❤️

We would just like to take this opportunity to make a wee post about a situation that one our groomers was put in this week.

*Also to stress the importance of maintenance of your dogs hair, especially the longer areas that you'd like kept such as the face, ears and tail*

We try our best to give customers what they would like, but ultimately the animals welfare is always priority as severe matting can impact a dogs health, in various ways such as hematomas, skin irritation etc.

During this week we had an owner verbally abuse the youngest staff member, calling her lazy, a liar and disrespectful etc. As she had no choice other than the shave severe matting off the customers dogs ears. There were no other options as it was that severe after months of growth, as he was long overdue for a groom.

This was a very difficult experience for her, having a grown man berate and belittle her in such a way.

We treat all customers and their pets with respect. All we ask is respect in return.

It's that time of the year again, we would like to thank you all for trusting us with your fur babies all year round, thank you for all the wonderful cards and pressies for Christmas, and for our recent little baby staff member 🥰😂

We will now be closed until after New Year, for a much deserved break. 😁 So please expect a delay on messages etc. 😊

As some of our lovely customers are aware, there will soon be another wee member of the Wagz family soon enough! 🥰 (That isn't an animal for once 😂)

Rachel is due early November, so it's not too far away.
Although we have two other wonderful members of staff to look after your pups, it may be a change for a short while as Rachel will be off over Christmas this year!

We do ask for understanding as it might be a longer wait for appointments, as we are quite limited with availability and recommend pre-booking in advance.

⛔ With limited availability, we cannot tolerate no shows. We try our best to get everybody booked in within a suitable time frame, we just ask to be let known in advance if you cannot make it to your appointment and we can make adjustments if possible.

⛔ Unfortunately if we aren't given warning or time before the appointment , then we cannot give it to another customer.

This will also *temporarily* effect our available cat grooming appointments from November for a few months for any cats not on a set schedule.

🐱 We aim to do more cat days before Rachel leaves for maternity to accommodate our wonderful kitties to tide them over this period. 😊

FOUND:
This handsome boy was found running about the shore road on his own.
A lovely couple caught him and are bringing him to city vets, shore road. Hopefully he is chipped! But if not, we hope his parents see this!

Edit. He was brought to the vets in pets at home in Newtownabbey, they have contacted the dog warden.

Hopefully the owner will be reunited soon. he's such a sweet boy.

Pixie has been missing from Chichester area of the antrim road, Belfast. She's been missing since earlier today. Her family are worried, please keep an eye out for her.

This is Boo, a biiiig baby maine c**n! 😍
Boo comes almost monthly for his brush outs, hygiene trim and his nails. He's well used to the grooming these days and we sweeten the deal with treats, catnip and cuddles 😂

Ernie first started off with his introductory session with us, this exposed him to all the sounds and smells of the busy groomers, so when it came to his full groom he wasn't as scared. Now on his second full groom, he's as confident as could be! ❤️
