The Centre is the ONLY BHS Approved Riding Establishment in North Northumberland. We are also a Clubmarked, Riding Club Centre (New for 2015) and Pony Club Centre, which caters for adults and children 4 years and above, offering a mixture of qualified tuition and leisure rides which are all off road including to St.Cuthbert’s cave.

What we do:
Part and Full Livery
Lessons for all abilities from 4 years and upwards, From Complete Beginners to Advanced. All groups are taught in small sizes so that you can learn in a safe environment and get value for money.
On your horses or Ours. We currently have a range of 18 horses and ponies on our licence from 12'2hh to 16'2hh, quality cobs to competition horses.
Pony Club Seniors (10 years and upwards) meet once a fortnight on Wednesday night 4.30pm-6pm costs £8 and Mini Pony Club (4 years and upwards) meet once a fortnight on a Wednesday night 4.30pm-5.30pm costs £6, both groups do stable management working towards their pony club tests and achievement badges.
Adult (only) Riding Club Every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10am-11.30am- Riding Lesson, Stable Managment, get together with like minded adults. Excellent Value at £21 per person.
Tailor made Qualification Assessment Training including BHS Ride Safe upto BHS Stage 4 Level and Pony Club Achievement Tests.
Birthday Parties
All Hacks off road (Maximum of 6). All riders have an assessment lesson to ensure that they are suited to the horse and competent to go on a hack, (all of our horses are well mannered & professionally schooled). Some of our clients travel from as far as Newcastle every week!

Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre is a small family business, run on a 1750 acre farm in the picturesque countryside of North Northumberland with Spectacular views to both the cheviots and the coast overlooking Holy Island.
The Centre was established in 2005 by Claire Nixon; UKCC Level 4 Coach, BHS Accredited Professional Coach, BHS SC (BHS Stage 5 Senior Coach), BHS SM (BHS Stage 5 Care and Management), BHS II (Stage 4 Senior Coach in Complete Horsemanship) , BHS Ride Safe Trainer and Assessor, an NVQ Assessor and IV. She also has an Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Sports Coaching Practice, Certificate in Education and Training, HND in Equine Management and qualifications in BHS Equine Specific First Aid & Child Protection.

We have 16 Stables in an American barn style, which is fully alarmed & CTTV recording 24 hours.

Classroom with biomass heating, with facilities to make hot drinks or hot food.
Horse walker which helps keep all of our horses and ponies fit.

When booking lessons, hacks or services you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
We highly recommend that each rider is adequately insured. BHS Gold Membership is very good. http://www.bhs.org.uk/membership
We must have a contact number and or email address from anyone taking part; cancellations within 24 hours of booking (lesson, hack or service) must be paid for in full price, unless you are able to find an alternative rider to take your place. Cancellations to be made in writing eg. Text message, Facebook or Email. Also by Phone call mobile number is 07762773559.
If terms and conditions are breached payment for any future booking must be made in full at the time of booking or we will be unable to take any future bookings from you.
