Hundreds like this one are being rehomed from us (Via British Hen Welfare Trust) on Saturday 12th October and we urgently need people to come forward and adopt them.

Final hen rehoming of 2024 announcement! 📣

We are pleased to announce the next and final hen rehoming date for the year: 21st September 2024.

Our chickens have been living in our free range system producing excellent eggs for the local area. Collection from our farm near Uttoxeter only.

You will be given a collection time and collection instructions one week before the date.

Hen age: 18 months old
They are free range birds, they are up to date with worming and they were fully vaccinated when they come to us (one year ago).

Small rehoming fee applies (3️⃣ each)

Please contact 07545565689 by text or WhatsApp with your name and number of chickens you wish to rehome. Please only reserve chickens if you are able to collect on the 21st September.

Here's an interesting fact you might not be aware of: Legally, an egg can be sold up to 30 days after it's been placed in a carton. Additionally, farmers have up to 30 days from when the egg is laid to when it's packaged for sale. This means the eggs you find in supermarkets could be as much as two months old by the time you purchase them, and they can have a sell-by date of up to four to six weeks later. Consequently, the "fresh eggs" you're buying could be over three months old by the time you eat them. This is why the free-range eggs from our own contented hens taste remarkably different and are bursting with goodness and nutrition—they benefit from a natural diet and are truly fresh.
