Keeping your outdoor rabbits and guinea pigs warm this winter.

With the nights drawing in and temperatures dropping it’s really important to keep your small animals that live outside happy, warm, dry and cosy. Here are some of our top tips…

✨Ensure their home is sheltered from the wind and rain so they aren’t directly exposed to the elements. Adding plenty of bedding will enable them to make a nest and stay warm.

✨ Always make sure their water is clean, fresh and hasn’t frozen. Insulated bottle covers can help to prevent this.

✨ Check on them regularly to make sure they are comfortable and healthy.

✨ With potentially less time out exploring it’s important to keep them stimulated. Try adding enrichment toys such as snuffle mats, dig trays, stuffed cubes or snack balls.

Belper Food Festival will be taking place throughout Belper today!

Stalls will be open for quiet shopping between 9am - 10am, with the full range of entertainment taking place between 10am - 4pm.

Entry is free!

Please note that free car parking is available on the Coppice Car Park, with free overflow parking at Babington Hospital. Chargeable parking is available on Field Lane.

Please be aware that Green Lane car park will be closed to the public and that road closures are in place throughout the festival site.

How do you take a best selling, doggy favourite treat and make it better? Curl it into a ring and make it odourless of course 😆

JR products are one of our faves anyway being premium natural treats but I think this is such a cool idea. Pizzles are naturally a low fat/high protein longer lasting chew which dogs love and provide great dental benefits. The ring shape means it’s harder for them to get their nashers round it and therefore potentially lasting longer plus the no smell keeps the parents happy…everyone’s winning ☺️
