Based in Belper, Derbyshire, Chevin Equestrian provides friendly riding tuition and dressage training, catering to pupils of all ages and levels of ability. We can provide training from our facility at Chevin Farm, or travel to you. Lessons are available throughout the Midlands (including Derbyshire,
Nottingham, Ashbourne and Staffordshire). Chevin Equestrian is run by Tim Heappey. We provide training on clients' own horses in addition to running dressage clinics. Tim is a listed member of the British Dressage Training database. Tim trained with some of the world's most accomplished trainers (mainly in Germany) as working pupils and also have enjoyed much success within the competitive circuit. Tim has more than 20 years' riding experience, starting out at the young age of four. He began training formally at the age of nine and has since trained with German masters Udo Langer and Claus Raph, and Olympian Michael Schaut to name just a few. At the age of 10, Tim competed on the first British team and represented Great Britain in dressage through Ponies, Juniors and Young Riders. He later competed at the Grand Prix, with Chevin Lector B (Durgy), who had been trained by Tim and his sister Nathalie since the age of three. Today, Tim specialises in flatwork training for jumping and dressage and offers pupils the benefit of more than 10 years' teaching experience. Tim is patient, friendly trainer, offering riding lessons and dressage training in a relaxed, unhurried setting. No matter what your riding goals, it's our aim to help you fulfil your potential.
