Our final week of walking for a while ……
It’s going to be an emotional one! .. 5 wonderful years of walking .

We have two more walks left of dog walking before our temporary closure until the autumn 🍂
We are now CLOSED until Wednesday 17th July for a well earned family holiday. What a crazy few months of Injuries, poorly doggies , extreme weather, Van issues 🫣.
We can’t wait to be refreshed and ready to enjoy the last few months walking my lovely dogs. We’ve lots of nice things planned.

💚U P D A T E 💚
We are slowing reducing our walks from September 2024 onwards in preparation for a temporary closure. This is due to my impending surgery .
The craziest five years, working with some incredible dogs and owners. I’ve loved every second of it.
I’m going to enjoy these next few months with all my doggies and look forward to a little rest and recovery.
All being well we will return in 2025 bigger and better !

HUGE thank you to my clients , for moving walks, rescheduling, letting me walk mega early and being fab this week!
We started early at 05:30am and finished all walks by 08:30am. Even at 05:30am it was muggy in our local area, we walked in shaded locations with constant water access it’s felt warm.

Most walks are rescheduled, change or cancelled for next week. With the heat and the temp traffic lights going back up in our local area it’s really not worth the risk! .

☀️☀️☀️HOT WEATHER ☀️☀️☀️
We are thankfully due some sun next week. All walks will be rescheduled, cancelled or very early . Your dogs health and well-being is of the upmost importance to me and I just won’t risk walking at peak temperatures. Yes , when it’s hot we go to wooded locations,with water access constantly- but we can never really know how affected our dogs are by the sudden rise in temperatures.
Thankfully we only get a handful of hot days in the UK per year 🙈
Don’t be a dawg and walk in hot temperatures your dog doesn’t need to be walked, enrichment and mental stimulation is enough.

The temps are dropping - if your dog feels the cold please use appropriate dog coats, or cancel - we’d much rather that than a freezing cold dog.
When/if snow falls this winter- we will judge the roads before making a decision wether to walk or not . Some of our tiny backroads get very icy .
Please think of your dog walker if your driveway is an ice rink too 🫣
We may need to cancel, cut short walks due to plunging temps all will be decided on a day to day basis, dog age, breed, ability and health.

We are due some rubbish weather in the next few days . We are still happy to walk unless it becomes to bad. We will assess it as the day goes on. 💚 but please be prepared that we may need to cancel, or cut short walks .

M U D ☔️ S E A S O N
It’s that time of year again!!
Our dogs will get wet and very muddy this is the fun part of our walks, we roam in ditches, woods, paddle in the brooks and creeks.
Unfortunately we don’t have time to wash your dog- they get a quick rub down or if they are cold and wet we use our towel gowns.
I know this isn’t always ideal , but washing multiple dogs would massively impact on walking times.
Please leave any jumpers/coats by their leads.
Highly recommend equifleeces, although the temps may be too warm for the winter ones just yet. Please ensure that all dogs are desensitised to having the jumper/cost pulled over their heads.
If your dog has full house access- please leave towels over furnishings .
If your dog hates the rain or your dog is unsteady on muddy surfaces we will try our best to reschedule.
Let’s hope this Autumn/winter is kind to us 😊
* Changes to Walk times *
Unfortunately not only the heat will be having an impact on our walks.
My children’s senior school has been massively affected by the RAAC drama and at present I have a year 8 and a year 11 remotely learning at home with the odd days in. As you can appreciate this isn’t ideal and at least one parent needs to be at home ( or they’ll probably still be asleep)
I am trying my best to juggle things so walks aren’t too impacted 💙
We don’t have many boiling hot weeks of the year , but thank you to all my clients for understanding if walks are mega early, cut short or changed to a pop in.
It’s not just the temperature we needs to consider on hot days it’s so much more
▫️ The inside Van temperature, when stationary and moving.
▫️The local traffic moving from pick up to walk location , limiting time in the van.
▫️Breed types, ages, physical health of the dogs , some of our dogs won’t drink water on a walk ( they preferred their home comforts)
▫️Can our walk locations offer shade, sniffy environments and have access to water for a paddle.
It won’t be long and it’ll be freezing cold and muddy so let’s enjoy the sun safety while we can.
