This gorgeous boy has been with us for 1 month, it’s safe to say we are really going to miss him as he has become part of the family but it’s time to hand you back to your family now Charlie boy. ( bet they have missed you too!) 🐾💙🐾

RIP Finn 😢

PD Finn's handler PC Dave Wardell wrote the following message on the Fabulous Finn FB Page.

"I wanted to say a massive heartfelt thank you to Everyone for all of your kind messages and comments🐾

I am completely heartbroken and this has been the hardest week of my life 💔

I want to thank Thin Blue Paw Foundation for putting together a just giving page for a memorial for which he totally deserves for his service and campaigning for and 🐾

He was such a brave, strong, loyal boy and I miss him so much" 💔

(Finn was a German Shepherd and retired police dog of the Hertfordshire Constabulary in England. In October 2016, Finn and his handler confronted a youth who was suspected of being armed; the dog was stabbed and the police officer injured to the hand with a large knife. The dog required emergency surgery, but he returned to duty eleven weeks later. The case received widespread media coverage and initiated a popular campaign to improve legal protection for animals in public service, resulting in a 2019 act of parliament known as "Finn's Law", which went into effect as law in England and Wales in June 2019. It was later proposed for incorporation into law in Scotland and Northern Ireland.)

Lovely day out with the four labs and a Four year old. Miley won 3rd prize in the OAP category at the dog show🥹 Aria was happy to have a go in Grandad’s big Lorry. We now have some very sleepy pups but not a sleepy 4 year old! 🙄
Well done for all being so good Max, Florance, Miley, Baloo and of course Aria 😬 🐾🐾🐾🐾👣

Heart in the mouth moment this morning….thought the dogs had caught a squirrel and they were tossing it around in the air 😱 on closer inspection it was a piece of fur off a hood 🤦🏼‍♀️ Big sigh of relief!! Happy Sunday walk 🐾❤️🐾
