Bark 2 Basics Dog Training Bark 2 Basics is a well established dog training school which run weekly classes and caters for all levels and abilities. Booking essential.

We are a well established training club covering all aspects of training and behaviour. Training is reward based and positive reinforcement is always encouraged, whether it be treats, toys or praise. Maximum of eight dogs per class and classes are on a Wednesday evening. Please ring me for further information.

Venue is Palace Green Scouts Hall, runs for 5 consecutive weeks, £60 paid on booking. Please pm me to book.

This course will set you up for life. Perfect foundation course.

I cover all basic commands, sit, down, wait, stay, recall, lead work but most importantly correct socialising.

1:1's are still very popular and are a great way to have some really intense training then go away and practice.

This is Freya who has been in her new home almost 4 months. She came to see me with slight reactivity to dogs and people due to a real lack of confidence. Fortunately for her she has great owners and they really want the best for her.

We started with teaching her some solid recalls, reinforced heavily with high reward food. Her barking initially was intense but as I got her thinking about focusing on her owner or me it started to diminish. We introduced her one at a time to Gloria then Alice and finally Teddy. She coped really well. Kept intros short and as she was doing so well had her recalling past them. She pretty much nailed it, obviously her owners have a lot of work to do but I am confident thro repetition and consistency she will improve so much🙂

Massive achievement for Marley passing Level 3 tonight which includes an out of sight stay!! Marley came from BARK in July and was very nervous as he had missed out on the first 8 months of life and had not been exposed to anything. He has done amazingly well🩵👏

I've had my 1:1's on hold over the summer as struggle to fit in with the timetable at the hall but if anyone is having difficulty with recall I can offer 1:1 training over the next few weeks. Possibly a Tuesday or Thursday late afternoon. Let me know if anyone is interested. This would be outside. Pm me for times and prices🐕

The next block of 5 weeks starts on Wednesday 25th September these spaces are all taken as the majority of my current classes are staying on, so I will post new dates mid October for the new block. Classes were took out for a short environmental walk tonight to practice their stays🙂
