A little update on Manny who came in 9 days ago. He's put on around a kilo and is looking 'more covered' around his ribs. The biggest change has been in his confidence. From being reluctant to go anywhere he is out on his walk and taking it all in. He is interested in the other dogs and the (fear based) barking towards them is reducing almost daily. He is the biggest cuddle monster.
He still has a way to go before rehoming but we just want to say thank you for letting us be there for him.

He is such a character. In a home with one to one attention, where he can be out, supervised, most of the day will really suit him. Kassuku has bonded with us but it has taken a while. He is becoming so chatty too, and keeps everyone right.

We are starting to put plans in place for getting the dogs away from the kennels for a little while during the day when the building works is going on.
Biscuit has three of the girls from the kennels (two staff and a volunteer) well and truly wrapped round his paw!

Please note we will be contacting all of you who have offered to help at this busy time in February, we are still trying to find our own feet at the moment. We thank you for your patience.

You may have seen Lola was out at Fellowship Dog Training - who very kindly donate the use of their field at Foulden for our dogs.
It is the look on Lola's face at the end, she swears someone moved the furniture!

So, despite the weather, it is important that all the dogs at kennels get out for fresh air and a bit of exercise and if that means staff/volunteers need to be out there in the rain, wind and snow while those less daft take shelter so be it!
