We are pleased to welcome little Isabelle to our pack.

Please bare with me, I intend to organise a beginners course in the very near future with a follow on session for people who are already on scent.
We are just getting settled in with our new arrival.

There are still a few spaces left on the Conservation Detection Dog Development Weekend (South)! 14-15 January 2023. As a spectator, here's what to expect:

🔸 Two conference-style workshops per day
🔸 Rural searches
🔸 Discussions of key issues related to the use of and training conservation dogs, wildlife licencing and ecological legislation
🔸 Demos and discussions on what makes a great detection dog (and handler) and more!
📍 Chichester, West Sussex

£40 per day. Please note this is not an accredited course and I will not endorse attendees to start surveying wildlife with dogs on this basis. Please email [email protected] to book! Handler places are sold out but if you would like to be added to the waiting list please let me know.

Starting Friday 7th October Canine Scentwork evening beginners course.

*Great for any dog (4 1/2 months and above) from Miniature Dachshunds to Great Danes.

*Scentwork is great brain exercise for your dog young or old. Turn on your dogs most powerful sense, up to 100,000 times more powerful than a human.

*Learn the fundamentals of working with your dog to search for specific scents in different situations.

*Have great fun training with your dog.

*7 week course £100, Friday evening classes 19:00-20:00.
(First week handlers only introduction) limited to 6 dogs.

*Location: The Cricket Pavilion, The Recreation Ground, Middle Street, Brockham, Surrey.

Had a lovely evening working with young Martha and her handler Sarah. We introduced her to a new scent, gun oil which she picked up very quickly and continue working on her indication.

She successfully completed multiple indoor and outdoor blind searches for clove and gun oil.

Well done Sarah and Martha.

Scent Work is a sport that mimics the task of working detection dogs to locate a specific scent and communicate to the handler that the scent has been found. Scent Work is a rewarding and challenging activity that allows dogs the opportunity to use their strongest natural sense in a way that’s fun and that builds and strengthens handler and dog bond.
Scentwork Essentials offers reward based training based on the Scentwork UK programme enabling dog and handler to work towards taking part in scentwork UK trials as well as operational style searches in interesting and challenging locations.
