Whiskas Wednesday 🐱

Our feline friends enjoy their peaceful stay in our Cattery.

Set away from the dog kennels and with lovely views of the grounds it is a puur-fect place for them to stay!

Each pen includes a hidey-hole, bed, scratch mat, litter tray and toys to keep them busy and stimulated throughout!

Job vacancy - Weekend Receptionist.

We are looking for a new receptionist to cover weekends with the chance of more hours during busy periods.

As a receptionist at Crossways we expect professional and high quality customer service to be provided to all our customers from start to finish.

We provide services of kennels, cattery, hydrotherapy and grooming for dogs and cats. This is a customer facing role and at times can be fast paced and demanding. You must have prior customer service experience and knowledge.

About the role:
- Handling payments.
- Booking appointments.
- Communications with third parties such as vets.
- Checking in and out our wonderful guests, handling of dogs and cats, of all breeds and temperaments.
- Effective communication with the team, customers and third parties.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of cat and dogs well-fare, our services and customers needs.
- Hold a professional phone etiquette and written communications.
- Positive, friendly and caring attitude.
- Able to work as a team and independently.
- Able to remain calm when under pressure.
- Good level of fitness, some dogs are very strong to walk up and down from the kennels.

⚠️ Update – A24 diesel spill ⚠️

🚨 We will be working day and night to repair a section of the A24 between the Beare Green roundabout to the Leatherhead M25 junction (J9) following a diesel spill from a lorry earlier today.

🚨 Following further investigations, the leakage was less in volume than originally thought but the area affected remains the same. Approximately 10 miles of resurfacing (in excess of 75,000 sq m) will be needed to repair the road.

🚨 We’re starting works at the southern end (Beare Green) so that the communities can get out and about. Crews will also be working tonight at the northern end of the closure from junction 9 of the M25 back towards Leatherhead on the A24 tonight with the aim to have it fully resurfaced by the weekend prior to the M25 closure at Jct 10-11.

🚨 Please continue to avoid the area whilst we undertake these extensive works. Thank you.

Emma (Owner of Crossways) and daughter Molly (Hydrotherapist), will be running in the Brighton 10K this Sunday (7th) to raise money for the Alzheimer Society, a charity very close to our family’s heart💙

Joining them is Emma’s Step daughter Caitlyn and her mum Laura. We wish the girls the best of luck and we are sure they will smash it💪🍀

Grooming a big dog like a Newfoundland can be a time consuming and back breaking job.
Lovely Tala came for her regular bath and tidy up today.
Pre bath clip out of her belly and rake through to loosen any dead coat then 6 litres of shampoo, 30 minutes in the bath, a solid hour blasting the excess water out followed by another 90 minutes drying and brushing….finally ending with a light trim on her feet and furnishings..! 4 solid hours of non stop work makes for a heavy morning..! But that’s what we do ☺️
Such a sweet girl too..! See you again soon Tala..❤️

Last night we had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous 7 month old, golden retriever Wilson!😍

His owner is keen to boost his water confidence ready for his future adventures in Scotland! It’s safe to say this little guy was a natural water baby and he loves it!

At our puppy swim sessions we create a fun but safe environment when getting them use to water!🐾

Fluffy snowball Oscar the Samoyed has missed a couple of appointments due to stabilising his recent diabetes diagnosis….his coat was densely impacted with dead coat, but after a (very) good brush through, a trim and tidy and a lovely bath he is looking beautiful once more..!
Back to his smily sammy self..! 😍
